Success after IF

Oh babies! lol

So Hannah like NEVER naps for more than half an hour. Was on my way to Michael's, figured eh, I can wait in the car for like 15 minutes while she finishes her nap. Well I've been sitting in my truck for over an HOUR now waiting for her to wake up lol. I'm glad she's taking a good nap, I'm regretting bringing the umbrella stroller instead of the travel system lol.

What funny/mildly frustrating things are your babies doing?

  • Trying to get her dressed or changing her diaper is crazy! She flails all four limbs like a wild woman, grabs on to my arm like a monkey, rolls up on her side....cute as hell! But sooooo frustrating sometimes!

Oh my gosh, Hannah does that too!! It's like "please just give me 60 seconds of stillness!"

  • Oh Robeano! I'm glad you can bump from your truck. Fwiw I have one of those photo books that I reserve for bedtime change table time and it keeps my LO occupied and not rolling for the 5 min I need stillness. It was def getting out of control. My LO is crawling and is so proud of himself he giggles while doing it but it is mildly frustrating when we are trying to pack up the house.
  • Oh dear, I had a similar situation! G had her 6 month shots this morning. She was so upset afterwards and fell asleep the minute her head hit the car seat for the ride home. We only live 20 mins from her pedi, so I drove for an additional 30 minutes all around town so she could get a good solid nap in! A detour to Dunkins for a coffee only added 10 minutes so I toured some neighborhoods near our street. I think I probably wasted a good $10 of gas... and it was so worth it. Little lady woke up refreshed and well rested!

  • Haha, E does that too. Her dad was supposed to take her to her cousins' football game Saturday and let me stay home and rest since I'm sick. And of course E overslept, and was still asleep when he needed to leave. And of course she woke up 15 minutes after he left so I got no rest. :( but at least she was in a good mood from her nap!

  • J has decided that about 50% of the time diaper changes are some form of gulag torture. I can usually distract her with a spray bottle or something, but the initial plop on the changing table would suggest that someone needs to phone CPS. Good thing her little fluff butt is so super cute!
