Re: So?

  • DH swears I didn't. And I believe him. And you can't convince me otherwise. :-\"

  • MH says no. I think he's telling the truth. B-)

  • I didn't ask, but I'm pretty sure I did...a few times. :-S

  • It was actually in my birth plan under "fears and concerns". All the nurses had a good laugh at that.
Once LO was out the doctor was like, "well, good news! You didn't poop!"

    I'm afraid to ask

  • Bf and sister say i didnt. But im pretty sure i smelled it

  • Nope. I know because I asked the nurses. When they told me no I proceed to inform them that was because I had pooped 3 times earlier that day (I said this with a room for of staff...maybe 7-8 people). Ha.
  • I had a c-section...but my baby pooped on me on the way out....

  • DD was a week early- water broke after my last snack of the day for GD management. So, yes there was food therefore there was excrement. I try to forget about it but I still remember DH asking the doc, "What is that?" If I wasn't so f'ing exhausted I would have been beet red embarrassed.
  • I was so nervous to poop on the table but I ended with a c/s. So no poop here but I bet I would of.
  • I was nervous to, but I did not...
    Married DH <3 : 7/7/12; 3 fur babies (2 dogs and 1 cat)

FS (age 5) and FD (age 2) to become AS/AD very soon!

  • At least once, maybe twice. My DH was quick to inform me that I had. He said it was gross. Lol

  • No idea. I didn't ask, they didn't tell, and MH didn't watch. My mom did, I guess I could ask her...but, I really don't want to know.

I really, truly don't know. DH doesn't know either. All I remember is the big nasty gush of fluid after LO was out. Surfs up, man.

Ah yes, the gush. I just remember hearing "we have spillage on the floor." I didn't GAF at that point, it just felt sooo good to have her out!
  • I have no idea really. No one has ever said anything one way or another and I've never thought to ask.
  • Nope. Considering I didn't eat for 17 hours straight I knew I wouldn't.

After DD1 was born my DH joked that there should be signs in the labor rooms for first time dads to never remove their shoes due to the amount of "stuff" on the floor. He was happy he had thick socks.
  • Nope. Considering I didn't eat for 17 hours straight I knew I wouldn't.

This was me too. 19 hours on pitocin after my water broke. No snacks for me!

  • I didn't, because I was basically trapped in the bathroom in early labor TMI. Baby pooped all over me when he was born though!

  • I didn't according to DH (and he would have told me if I did).  He actually said he was surprised because it was pretty much only baby coming out and he was expecting it to be a lot grosser.

I also think it was due to the fact that I hadn't eaten a meal in over 24 hours by the time DS was born.

  • I didn't. Pushing time was short on this one (maybe 20 min) so maybe that's why? And it was 1pm, I hadn't eaten since 7pm the night before.
With my first, I swear I did but DH says he doesn't think so. There was this moment when I thought I smelled something and it seemed like the nurse may have wiped something up real quick but.. I'm not sure. Eh.. Who cares at this point right?!
  • I enjoyed L&D as well. It was quite the rush.

So the nurses, my aunt and DH swear I didn't poop, but I got a whiff of poo. I kept insisting that if I didn't, one of them had. No one fessed up.

The weird thing I remember from L&D is that splat sound my placenta made when it was delivered. Then my OB told me, "You make beautiful cords." Ummm... thanks?

  • Yes a whole lot and my mum was wiping it off!! My hubby saw way too much I thought he would faint but he was such a trooper! I am a nurse so poop doesn't bother me at all, so never be embarrassed ladies ! Nothing moves us anymore :)
  • I think I did. Same as pp..I smelled it and felt them wipe...so I'm just assuming.

I also can't wait to go through it all again. I wanted a natural birth but ended up getting an epidural. I'm hoping next time to go natural...even though the epidural was amazing... at least at first.
  • Nope with first two, yes with this one

  • This time, no poop. Last time I was jacked up on zofran and soooooo constipated. It was like a small football fell out of my ass right before DS emerged. Even the dr was like, "whelp, that should move things along."

Omg - this made me literally lol.

  • I totally pooped. I remember being so embarrassed I kept apologizing to the nurse, lol. She just laughed and said it happens all the time.
    image
  • I don't think I did, but totally didn't even think to ask at the time. But LO did poop as soon as he came out, all over the midwife, the floor and actually got some on a nearby table too.
  • Yes. I thought I would care but when it came down to it I didn't. I told my partner to stay up by my head but he didn't. He was warned!

  • Nope none here though I did push out a pretty decent size set of hemorrhoids. I also popped a few times during early labor at home so think that saved me. I was so backed up during pregnancy I was afraid of what all might have came out if I did go on the table
