Ahhh so overwhelming but I felt pressure all day yesterday on my bladder and I was told that LO had his foot pressed up against it, as seen on the sonogram. Last night I tucked myself into bed around 10sh and felt serious pain, I knew I couldn't sleep with it. I called over to the nurse and they put me on the monitor. The pressure I felt was about 20 min apart and surely it was bearable. By 11, contractions were every 5 minutes and I was out on IV. The cervix was checked and it was closed along with the baby being totally stable. Doctor made the call to wheel me into labor and delivery, just to keep an eye out. LO turned 27 weeks at the stoke of midnight, just like a pumpkin. I texted DH but told him not to come yet because I was fully convinced nothing would happen and I would go back to my hospital room.
By 1:30sh am my contractions got to every 2/3 minutes and they got very painful. I was only on an iv drip with no pain meds (it was awful). I called DH to come. By 3 am, it was happening way too quick. The doctor yelled that I was dilating and baby was in breech. She felt me 3 min later and said she felt his butt going through the birth canal. I was taken into surgery (before DH got here) and put under. I dont have the exact he was born yet, I believe it was around 3:15sh. Woke up around 5 and was told I delivered a baby boy, 2 pounds and 2 ounces. DH was with Jacob and came over to show me his pics. He's adorable and while he has a breathing tube, DH was told he was breathing 95% on his own, which is amazing.
I still haven't seen LO in person. Coming off the meds has proven pretty difficult and painful. I haven't gotten up yet and will need to do so in a few hours. I want to meet my little Jacob!
Thank you everyone for your support, I could have never done 3 weeks in the hospital without the crazy and entertaining posts! I will update more once I know how Jacob is doing.
PS I hope I didn't scare anyone with my "birth story"
@SvedkaStoli hold the fort down! You have to keep that LO cooking!
I got to see Jacob around 5 pm today. He is wonderful and his legs are super long. He was 14 inches long at birth! I'm still suffering some pain so I'm going to bed now in hopes of getting some pain free sleep!
Thank you for your support ladies!
Here are some pics of Jacob. I'm mobile bumping, I hope you can still see them.
