Anyone else starting a stock pile? We are every pay day different siZes I figure whatever we don't use someone else can. I figure a different size here and there
I'm not -- DS had a very sensitive booty and could only wear one brand/style of diapers, same thing with wipes. If I were you I'd put aside money or buy a gc to the place you'll shop for diapers instead.
We do Amazon Prime for diapers and wipes - so we've saved "extra's" for the next LO but stock pile of diapers I've be carefull of having to many of any size my little guy skipped sizes and needed swaddlers even though he was in a "cruiser" size
I wouldn't stock pile diapers because you will find that you will prefer certain diapers over others and it depends on the kid and their body shape, skin sensitivity and "outflow" schedule etc.
DS1 was in huggies. Ds2 was in Luvs and only pampers work for DS3. For instance, DS3 has a fat belly but is shorter, he has sensitive skin and often has loser poop so pampers are ideal. Huggies run too small and fit very tight but they worked well for Ds1 because he was very slender. Luvs are similar to Pampers but they are not as absorbant so they worked well for DS2 who had a very regular poop schedule and large bladder.
See what I mean? Who knew it was so complex, but it is. Every baby is different. What works for one, won't work for another. So, needless to say, don't stockpile. Wait and see what will work best for YOUR baby.

Oh but I will say that Pampers sensitive newborns/size 1 are the way to go in the begining. They worked well for all of my boys. But don't overbuy because if you have a larger baby, you may never even use the newborn size.

I returned so many packs of diapers I got at my baby shower to get the right size and brand that I preferred. Stores are usually pretty willing to swap diapers brands.

We plan to do cloth diapering, but will keep a little stock of disposables for on the go. I am going to be a ftm so I hope cloth diapering works ok since it is quite the investment to start!

I stock piled after we found a good brand for ds, and still ended up with too many of some sizes and having to return or put away for this one and hoping that they work for this baby too. For us- Huggies and pampers were no good, up and up from target have been the best

I would stock pile the money in a different account so you can freely buy what you need when you need it.

I'm not buying yet. I feel like its too early to buy anything. I have a few smaller sizes/packs left over from my daughter.
Edit: stupid phone autocorrect...
