Friday BedRest Check In

How did everyone sleep?

Milestone, Update, Appts?

Qotd: What are your plans for the weekend?

Re: Friday BedRest Check In

  • Happy hour Friday.. oh how i wish i could enjoy happy hour!!

I slept from 12-3am and have been awake since watching scary movies.

Yesterday i ended up in L&D after i called the dr concerned about little ones decrease in movement. They hooked me up to monitor it took her 1.5hr to show active movement. They then did a BPP which took about 2 hrs with breaks in btw because my little one didnt want to show 3 consistent practice breaths. When I got home it looks like she was perked up because she hasnt stopped moving since.

I was a little frustrated when i went to discharge. My insurance has a $200 copay which I dont pay i tell them to bill me because i am still not working. Once little one is born i will start a payment plan. So as i give the clerk my forms she says "You have a copay" I tell her "I know just bill me" She turned around and says "Well it doesnt work that way" Keep in mind i never had a problem before. She insisted in printing a bill and tells me to send the payment because the hospital will hunt me down. I told her "Well they going to have to wait till I am back at work" We having this conversation in front of another patient. She calls me into her office and says "That excuse that your not working isnt going to fly with the financial department. I suggests you follow the instructions given from the nurse to the T and only return If those symptoms arise" I got so mad and told her "Well you know what, I had a late loss and If i sneeze and its hurts I am coming in. I am high risk and my dr told me not to ignore anything to come in a get checked. Now if i have a $3000 bill by the time my daughter is born then i will deal with it then. So for now if I feel i need to be checked I am coming in" She was like oh i am so sorry. I just walked away. How dare she give her opinion with out know what the hell is going on. Dont fking give me any medical advice with out knowing the facts. The last time i ignored my symptoms I loss my son so any ache or pain i am going in, let me worry about my bills or credit.

qotd: DH and i need to drive to my mothers house 35mins away to pick up the clothes she washed for the LO. while we are there we going to take come maternity pictures. Saturday DH wants to take me out to dinner for my birthday. We will also put the LOs dresser together. Hoping this is a productive weekend...

  • @Kneenah- that woman has some nerve telling you how to handle your bills and when to come to the hospital!! Shoot some people, like my BIL, so to the ER with no insurance and walk out with a 10k bill....not her concern how it gets paid!! I hope your weekend is productive, your LO will be here sooner than you think!

Yay, it's Friday! I have another milestone just a few days away....2 more weeks and I am off my meds and shots and I can have these babies. I truly think the procardia is single handedly keeping me pregnant right now.

I slept great but got up for bathroom/meds at 7am and now the babies are like Mexican jumping beans in my stomach and I can't fall back asleep:(. Oh well!!

Qotd: tonight my two girlfriends are coming over! I am so excited....havent seen them in weeks! DH has work Saturday and Sunday so this weekend will be uneventful. I might take DS to a mini pumpkin painting event on Saturday but that is really it!!

  • Morning ladies

Slept pretty well last night. I am taking my procardia earlier in the night so I am still exhausted when I wake up to take it and have no problem falling back to sleep.

Next appt Tuesday. I have my glucose test. I am looking forward to my appt to get out of the house.

Tonight my brother, sil and kids are coming over and making dinner. I am looking forward to it. We are very close and I normally see them a ton. But haven't since before I have been on bed rest. Which is only2 weeks, that's a long time compared to how often I normally see them. My parents are coming over Sunday to hang out. Otherwise there will be a lot of laying around this weekend.
    BFP #1 (7/13/12) MC (8/14) 9 weeks. D & C 8/17.
BFP #2 (5/18/13) due 1/26/14. Grow baby grow!
    Its a surprise! Team green!

  • Happy Friday, everyone.

I slept ok last night, but the darn robot vaccuum and noisy clicking fan had me awake for a while in the middle of the night .

34+1 today.  Dh and I have a penatal appt with the pediatrician this afternoon, so at least I can get out of the house a little for that.  On my way back, I might make a quick stop to pick up a new body scrub because mine is about out.

No plans for the weekend otherwise, but I would like to write out all the thank you cards from my shower and pack my hospital bag.

Slept A LOT better than yesterday.
Only had a couple of runs to the bathroom and was actually semi comfy laying down ^^

    Milestones/Updates/Appointments:
Today I hit the big 35/35, meaning that I am officially off bedrest and am not taking anymore Procardia - which still makes me feel very uneasy - but it is what it is and I'm ready for what's to come (not). Not exactly sure what I'll be doing today but I should get onto writing thank you cards, packing the rest of my hospital bag and I really need to clean out my car..lame I know ^^'

    Qotd:
Clean and pack stuff. DH is working and I might be going to a children bazaar with my mom on Saturday.

kneenah - wow what a biotch, I'm shaking my head right now. How dare she?!
sms - haha Mexican jumping beans..oh that made me laugh
    roses - morning :)
sft - how did your shower turn out?

  • Happy Friday!

Wow Kneenah- I would definitely call and complain about that lady.  She needs a refresher course in customer service.  My mom has worked at a hospital for 27 years in billing and I know this is not the way to handle situations like this.  They should NEVER make you feel like you can't come in because you can't pay your bill right away.  Shoot-since you're not working, ask for a financial assistance application and you could possibly get your bills from the last couple months waived.  And sorry for your scare with LO.  Glad you were able to start feeling movement and get some peace of mind.

I definitely laughed at Mexican jumping beans, too, @Sms.

Morning to the rest of the bed rest ladies.  (:|

Slept so-so last night.  DD can to our bed around 4 am.  Think I had finally fallen asleep around 2 am and she wouldn't lay down and be still so I went to the couch and left her in there with DH.  I couldn't fall asleep on the couch for the longest time.  DH brought her out to the living room this morning at about 7:30 and went back to bed.  Kind of mad about that but whatever.  I'll go lay down when he gets up.

32w2d today.  Time seems to be going so slow.

Qotd:  What are plans?  No, really, I don't have much planned.  I usually spend some time over at my mom's house during the weekend since she works during the week.  She picks me and DD up and lets me lounge on her couch while she takes care of DD.  But she's been super stressed out lately so I think I'll just hang out at home.  Probably a lot of Netflix and The Bump.  If I can get DH or my mom to pick me up some more baby hangers, I will be hanging up some more baby clothes.  Waahhh, I'm bored.

  • How did everyone sleep?Up late, awake early.  Seems to be a trend lately.
Milestone, Update, Appts?Today I get to shower and get out of the house to get my shot.  It's a nice sunny fall day.  I am looking forward to sucking in as much fresh air as I can in my brief trip.
Qotd: What are your plans for the weekend?I love fall weekends.  My husband is a HUGE college football fan so he and my daughter spend most of the day in the bedroom with me.  It has now turned into a bedroom/playroom so I can see her.  My husband turns on the game and gets to watch, so it's a win for all.  :)

@kneenah1231 I am sorry you had to go through that.  I'm glad you spoke up, although you really shouldn't ever have had to.  Hopefully it gave her a reminder to be more sensitive to the patients.
I agree with the Mexican jumping beans!  Except, I just have a bean.  If I lift up my shirt I can see him kicking and sometimes moving, my husband loves feeling him kick around. I'm only 26w4d.  When I had my little girl in my tummy, I could feel her fluttering around a lot but touching my stomach you couldn't feel her.  I think that means our little guy might be on the bigger side.  I hope so!

  • Good morning ladies! I slept well for the first time in forever last night I didn't even wake up to pee! Well I'm 31 weeks today so that means one week closer to that darn 34! I am going stir crazy already I can't even walk to get my horse in the back yard at this point to brush him and give him lovings! And I'm normally with him EVERYDAY so this is a huge adjustment for both of us. I'm so over not being able to even really clean like I want to and set things up for baby, but even getting the mail is a huge walk and can start contractions at this point. This weekend I plan on being lazy maybe asking my mom to go to babies r us to finish up the registry. But a couple of my girlfriends are coming to visit today so I have that to look forward to.
And Kneenah too bad that they can't deny you medical treatment based off an inability to pay (at least where I live) you handled that a lot better then I would have! Sorry she was such a bitch!
Also I totally agree with the jumping bean! Kaleb has not stopped moving since I got up!
  • justMaike- my shower last weekend was great.  Got just about everything I needed, and it was nice to have company.  My family lives 2 hours away, so I was happy my mom, sis and grandmom were able to make the trip.
  • I slept good last night. For some reason since all these issues started and I was put on bed rest my 3 yr old has been sleeping like a champ so that has really helped! No changes here and we have no weekend plans. For some reason bed rest = no plans every weekend until this baby arrives. Doctors say the only time I can even ride in a car is to doctor appts. I will be missing my nephews birthday party this weekend. :(
