I also posted this on the breastfeeding forum.
What are symptoms that WCM isn't agreeing with LO? DS is 13 months, and
up until last week, he was getting bottles that were between 25/75 and
50/50 BM and WCM. This week, I switched to giving him one bottle of BM
and the rest WCM. Last night was a difficult night for him. He awoke
about 10:30 pm (which isn't unusual for him), and he was almost
inconsolable. He wasn't interested in nursing much and he was arching
his back and wiggling around quite a lot. I took him to bed with me
(which happens almost every night), and even that didn't calm him.
Typically, he sleeps great once he's in bed with me. It basically took
him crying himself to sleep, with me trying unsuccessfully to soothe
him.
I'm wondering if this could be related to the WCM. It seems
like a problem with his stomach. It could be teeth. I know it's not
his ears, because I had his ears checked earlier in the week after a
similar episode.
Re: XP: Symptoms of WCM sensitivity
Since going to Almond milk he's been a different kid. He's so enjoyable and I can tell he just feels so much better. He's no longer turning away food and sippy cups.
I'll see if DS is better this weekend, when he won't be getting WCM's just breast milk. He never had a sensitivity to me having dairy.
