We have one and my LO loves it! It's great because there are so many options! Different movements, different speeds, and relaxing sounds. You can also connect an iPhone or MP3 player to play your own music. DD falls to sleep instantly and stays asleep in it for hours. Well worth the money!
My DS has to be in the right mood for it. A lot of the time he'll scream when we put him in there. Honestly, if we weren't borrowing it from a friend we wouldn't have spent the money on one.
We were gifted one. It's alright but I wouldn't have spent the money myself. She likes the $35 bouncer seat just as well (although we have to bounce it sometimes if she gets fussy).
I would say to think of how your LO likes to be rocked. Ours really prefers to move quickly - like if we rock her in the carseat very fast. The mamaroo is VERY gentle so she only really likes it sometimes. It certainly would never put her to sleep. I think a more traditional swing would have been better for us. If you're not sure what your LO would prefer I would test it somehow before buying. Or make sure you can return it.

This. DS occasionally hangs out in the Mamaroo for a few minutes but only if his mood is just right. Honestly we don't use it that much. It was given to us by the company I work for, but I would have preferred a smaller, more portable bouncer that has something more entertaining for him to look at. I am hoping that he starts liking it as he gets older.
DD likes it but I have to use the fastest setting to calm her down or put her to sleep. I think we'll end up getting more use out of the traditional baby swing.
My girls like it better than the traditional swing. I'm selling the traditional swing because they'll only stay in it about 15 minutes max. I bought the mamaroo from bed, bath and beyond because I know they'll let me return it should they not like it. So far they do
We have one and our lo loves it. The Mammaroo actually puts her to sleep many times and then I transfer her to her pnp. She is 19 days old and we have been using it since we got home from the hospital. If she isn't tired she loves staring at the 3 balls above her head. I would recommend it.

This thing has saved my life many nights! It's the only thing he will sleep in when he's in a "hold me all night" mood. It's pricy but for me it's worth it's weight in gold, has definitely earned its keep in our house.
My son loves it. I was planning on getting a traditional swing but changed my mind the last minute. I was given a gift card to purchase the swing and I chose the mamaroo. My son slept in it the first night from the hospital because he did not like his bassinet. Best investment I ever made. Love , love it!!!
My LO loves the mamaRoo. I haven't used it at night yet, but might try :-) he LOVES the mamaroo and it is the only thing that I can set him down in. It is great to turn in with the built in sound machine!! I think it holds up to 25 lbs. It is worth every penny IMO.
