I did have my follow-up with the OB on Monday. I asked for a beta, but he didn't think it was necessary considering I've been taking tests and they are fading out. (Yesterday's test was very light, basically a squinter until it dried. I have a pic of the tests in my blog). He did a quick physical exam and gave us the go-ahead. As soon as this cycle is over, we're cleared to TTC again.
Assuming the HCG really is back to zero (or almost, almost there), I hope my cycle comes around soon. We're 4 weeks post-loss at this point and I'm just ready to move forward.
Waiting for levels to drop and AF to come can really drag, I'm glad it looks like your wait might be over soon!

Thanks for the encouragement on my chart! It got thrown off at the beginning bc of vacation ( and a sick toddler). But I am doing much better now! So I haven't tracked CM much this cycle bc to be honest I feel like BD effects it so much I never know. And since DH and I have just been having fun with BD pretty frequently this month I didn't feel it was accurate. Does DTD effect the consistency of CM? I think I am starting to see some EWCM today though so fx that means an O soon!!
Hey everyone! Hope you ladies are having a great week! GS, I hope you had a great thanksgiving!
Has anyone used the regular FRER ovulation tests? I used a Wondfo today and it looked like a positive so when I went to the store to get a digital, all they had was the regular FRER ovulation test. That test looks either almost positive or positive too. I'm going to test again tomorrow morning. This just makes me so mad because I wasn't using OPKs this cycle since it was going to be another long one and for some reason I decided to test and now I don't know if I'm picking up the start of my LH surge or the tail end. I guess I'll know tomorrow.
@mmnumber5 I'm so so very sorry you are back big ((hugs))
I used a couple of FRER OPKs a year ago when I first started charting, but only used that one pack because they were so stupidly expensive! What are you wondering about them?
I was just wondering if people liked using them or if people felt they were hard to read. The grocery by us didn't have any digital OPKs so I bought these. I may have to drive a little farther to another store and see what they have. Do most ladies normally check a positive Wondfo OPK with a digital one or just go with the Wondfo?
Hi G, I hope you had a great Thanksgiving! I got pretty slammed with work on Tuesday too, I hate that feeling after a holiday.
kalynn12: How did your sono go on Friday?
My soon went well, I have a slight heart shape to my ute but not enough for concern, otherwise all went well. It wasn't as bad of an experience as I thought it would be, there were some short uncomfortable parts and when she sprayed the freezing I almost jumped off the table! We talked again and I am going to do the progesterone supplements after ovulation along with baby aspirin.
@mmnumber5 ((hugs)) I hope your counselor appointment went well.
@rmpar29 I hope your TWW goes quickly! I love when the timing lines up
@gingerkid9989 I have never had ovulation spotting either sorry I can't help.
@tvandewi 3 days of thanksgiving is awesome, I only ended up getting one this year and there were not really any leftovers which is my favourite part! Hopefully your cycle will sort itself out this week.
@emma2370 hopefully your blood results come back this week, anyone you can harass for them? I always find waiting for labs so frustrating.
@abryars sounds like you had a great Monday hopefully AF will make her appearance soon, maybe she is being nice to you this cycle.
@krisands sorry your appointment didn't go as planned. Waiting can be frustrating especially without a good explanation.
@ktlovess I hope your advisor meeting goes well today. It sounds like you an amazing career option
@meagpt22 That's very weird that you keep getting positive OPKs,maybe you should mention to you doctor. Charting definetely allows more control.

Hi Ladies, I'm new and intro'd last week. Had my d&e almost 3 weeks ago and finally stopped bleeding. My dr gave me the go ahead to start trying again after my period starts again. I have a consult with my RE next week to figure things out. Long story short I found I had diminished ovarian reserve, so I need assistance getting pregnant. I have my good days and bad days, but trying to be strong. Hope the best for all of you and looking forward to getting to know you all.
Thanks GS. I will start when I wake up rather than waiting. I had a temp shift 3 days ago and after I put in my temp this morning FF added that red line to show that I ovulated. My cycle is so off from what I expected. I thought I had O'd atleast a week or so ago and that I would see AF around Monday. Looks like I was wrong. If my temps are accurate (because I just started) and it's still another 2 weeks before AF it'll be a 40 day cycle. The reason I thought I O'd without temping before is because of my CM. I've copy and pasted the link to my chart. I'm not sure how to add it in here permanently as I'm usually on mobile. https://www.fertilityfriend.com/m/home.php/48e19d

Semen gets absorbed pretty quickly by the body, from what I've read/heard you should be able to check CM accurately at least 12 hours after sex if not many hours sooner in my own experience. Also, semen dries really quickly when exposed to air whereas EWCM does not, so you could always distinguish it that way if you checked and weren't sure which you have. Other than temping and OPKs, CM is my one other reliable symptom that I always check leading up to O.

I just use Wondfos, they're reliable enough and I temp to confirm O so I don't feel the need to spend so much money on the more expensive tests. Where I live there are no cheapies in the stores, it's like $40 for a 7 pack of non-digital FRER OPKs, whereas for $25 I get 40 Wondfos from Amazon - I'm not usually a cheap person but in this I just can't justify the ridiculous expense of the FRERs! Given I test two or three times a day, sometimes for up to a week if I O late, Wondfos are way more practical.

@abryars- I can understand the anxiety last night was my first night not waking every hour with my brain turned on in full force. Hopefully you get sleep tonight.
@krisands-I'm sorry the GP wasn't more helpful. Can you try an OB who might be more helpful?
@ktlovess-good luck with the meetings and presentations.
I've def decided next cycle to start charting to give me more control..especially since I've been getting positive opk for a week but based on CM I O'd last week. So next cycle I'm going to temp and chart.
Just out of curiosity, have your positives all been with the test line darker than the control line, not just as dark as it? As you start charting, be sure to ask if you have any questions.
G- the past few days they're only been as dark as the control but for a week prior it was darker. I image ill def have questions about charting so ill be sure to ask.
Thanks, I just wondered as sometimes people don't know that 'as dark' isn't a positive, 'darker' is. A whole week of darker, wow, that's something I haven't heard much about before. I know I have sometimes had three days of positives, but not more than that. Our bodies sure can be wonky after a loss, I hope your next cycle is much less confusing for you!

Hi Ladies, I'm new - i just intro'd yesterday. It's nice to *meet* all of you! My DH and I have decided we are ready to TTC, but my doc told me to wait 2 cycles after my D&E in August so I'm just patiently awaiting AF #2 so we can get started (should be any day now). I started temping this cycle just to see how things were, but I ended up traveling for work alot this month so things were a bit wonky. I need to get back on track. I also called our genetic counselor yesterday to follow up and see if there are any more tests we can do in advance, still waiting on a return call. I'm pretty sure the only thing we haven't done yet is fragile x, but i just want to triple check.
QOTD: this is tough but i may go with NKOTB just because my girlfriends and i would have a blast - my DH on the other hand would not be so thrilled.
Welcome to the checkin ((hugs)) Hopefully you hear back from your genetic counsellor soon, and that AF shows quickly so you can move forward with TTC again.

That does look like an O spike, but without more temps before it's hard to tell for sure - FF usually needs 6 or more temps before O to give crosshairs. You could possibly have O'd earlier as you thought, with those first few lower temps being just a temp dip post-O, but you'll only know once you get AF and can count back the couple weeks to see when you did actually O. With regards to CM, I've found for myself and many women on this board that CM can be a bit unreliable especially soon after a loss. Mine has finally stabilized to something more reliable the last few months, but for probably five or six months after my loss it stayed pretty wonky, I would get EWCM at almost any point in my cycle, a week before I O'd (confirmed with temping), a week after I O'd, etc.

Hello ladies! I hope everyone is having a good Thursday! It's ALMOST the weekend
alilbear:Well it looks like your H being away for the last week hasn’t been bad timing for you, O is still to happen – your temps look to have stabilized since that big dip early on, you’re doing well so keep at it!For what it’s worth, have a look at my charts, you’ll see I have some pretty big temp swings both pre- and post-O.It’s the overall shift you’re looking for, even with jagged temps you can still see that pattern
Hey GS! I hope you enjoyed your holiday weekend. Thank you for taking the time to look at my chart - I really appreciate it. I'm relieved that my H hunting adventures didn't throw out this month's chances of TTC. I will continue to temp and use OPKs this month. I'm interested to see how things will play out. I'm expecting a longer than normal cycle, at this point, and I'm okay with that. I can't really control it anyways.
I've been with my DH family this week, while he has been hunting, and thankfully the mountain air has relieved me of my sinus congestion! HOoray! Only thing is has meant less time for TB, because of poor internet connection. So looking forward to going home!
QOTW - I'm blanking! Since DH and I always go to Dave Matthews concert series on Labor Day weekend, with his family, I will pick DMB. I would invite his family, and they would be more than thrilled. His cousin has been to nearly 50 concerts.
libby+nate - Welcome to the board! GL at your f/u appt. I hope you get some answers.
@ukwife11 - I've never used OPKs until this cycle. I purchased a butt load of Wondfos from Amazon. At least I don't feel silly testing so much, because they are so cheap!

All ALers welcome!

It's ALMOST the weekend
alilbear: Well it looks like your H being away for the last week hasn’t been bad timing for you, O is still to happen – your temps look to have stabilized since that big dip early on, you’re doing well so keep at it! For what it’s worth, have a look at my charts, you’ll see I have some pretty big temp swings both pre- and post-O. It’s the overall shift you’re looking for, even with jagged temps you can still see that pattern
