Planned or Pleasant surprise?

Re: Planned or Pleasant surprise?

  • 100% planned, but we were hoping for an April baby so I could be home longer before going back to work. In a way it was a surprise since I had a bad feeling I was going to lose the baby up until the day he was born.

I woke DH up to tell him, and he was not happy that I woke him up, but when he realized what I said he then started freaking out and telling me I needed to go to the Dr asap. I went to make him happy, but even the Dr laughed because I was only 4 weeks pregnant and she said I could have waited to come in.

  • Planned. DD was the result of an IUI, but my 6th medicated cycle this round of ttc. It was going to be our last attempt until we saved up to try IVF this summer.

My beta was scheduled for Nov 1, and my b-day is Nov 3. It was either going to be a really awesome birthday, or the shittiest one ever depending upon the results. I normally don't POAS early, but after trick or treating on Hallowe'en I decided we might as well. Kids coming up to our house kept asking how many kids live here (because it looks really big) and I was embarrassed to only answer two children.

We were so happy to read 'pregnant' on that test!

  • Happy surprise! We got married oct 13 last year and didn't think it would be easy considering history. We found out I was pregnant the week before Thanksgiving--SURPRISE! That was a good night! I couldn't wait to tell DH--he was commuting home--and it slipped over the phone. He almost drove off the road.
  • Nadia was planned. we decided we were finally ready to try again last September but decided to play it safe (we were not sure if you can switch while pregnant) and wait for our new health insurance to kick in on Oct 1st. my husband was out of town the week I was ovulating in Oct but came back the day I ovulated so we only had one chance but got lucky that month anyways!! :) we were surprised it only took one try after nine years of just going by me knowing when it was safe or not as our birth control.
