Joovy Tandem stroller, you are awesome and you shall be MINE.

This Joovy 'caboose' stroller seems awesome for a pre-schooler- 4 year old and a new baby. Might help with constantly wrangling my mobile child. I found one at my local toys-r-us. SO excited. Anyone have one like this? I saw a mom with one and I was totally green with envy... now I have to have one. :D

  • My only advice is to REALLLY test it out in the store with your older child in the back, infant seat on the front. Spend a long time and make sure he will really stay on the back. I tested it briefly and DS seemed fine (3 yrs at the time). Then baby came. OMG. DS only wanted to ride in the real seat up front where the infant seat had to go. We took it to Disney when DD was 8 weeks and it was a disaster! We ended up renting him his own stroller there. I sold that thing on CL as soon as we got home. Bought a city mini double instead and LOVE it. Never thought I wanted a big side by side but turns out, that's what my kids need! Lots of people love the sit n stands but it just didn't work for us.

  • Will do! Thanks for the advice. I have a feeling my DS would be one to cling on to the handles and ride on the step. He's a very active kid so he'd want to get on and off at his leisure. lol

  • I have the ultralight and love it. So easy to fold and pop into the trunk of the car. I highly recommend. For me the flaws are: small seats overall, not the best storage and I could not easily attach my diaper bag to the handlebar of the stroller. I could work with these though.
  • I have had the Ultralite as well as the Big Caboose.  I'm not a fan.  While I love the concept of the sit and stand, and I LOVE the size of the Ultralite, it didnt' work out for me.  The front seat is small and the foot rest sucks so bad.  It's on a strange angle and the kids can't even really rest their feet on it when it's down.  When it's reclined (which it hast to be to accommodate the car seat) your younger child can not sit on the bench, must stand.  I didn't love the handle or the steering on it.  I ended up getting a Sit and Stand Deluxe.  It's quite a bit bigger, but both kids can have their own seat that is easy enough to put on/take off so we could be flexible and go with the flow of the kids moods etc.  Good luck with your choice, but I agree with the other posts to go to the store and try it out!
