My never ending induction (long whine)

Well, I'm 52 hrs into this induction. Contracting every few minutes but still not dilated after a round of Cervidil and 4 rounds of Cytotek. I've been hooked up to this damn NST machine for so long that when they removed it briefly so I could shower, I had phantom sensations that it was still digging into me. For the last severL hours I've had a low grade fever making me dizzy and giving me chills.

DH wants to throw in the towel and just do a C section but the doctor said there's no reason to, babies are fine in there so I guess I'll keep going. They said it could still be another day or two of this before they even start me on the Pitocin. I really was not mentally prepared for such a long process. I had no idea it could take this long. I'm so wiped out and stir crazy and stiff from being in this bed so long

What the fuck is up with my damn cervix? (Sorry for the long whine)

I did get ambien tonight so I'm looking forward to some sleep at least. If there is no significant progress by tomorrow I may request the section.

Wow! I don't blame you for whining. I'd be going bonkers by now and would have deft caved for a c-section (they're actually not that bad). Hang in there, mama!!!!

Both of my inductions lasted three days. It's mentally exhausting but it's also great that they are going slow, giving your body a chance to work with the medicine rather than forcing.

If I was 52+ hours into an induction, running a low grade fever, and my doctor was hemming and hawing about a C-section, I would be grabbing the scalpel and cutting those babies out myself. You're a stronger woman than I am! Hope things have progressed for you today and it'll all be over soon!
