We've been at basketball tournaments since noon. My baby sister plays high school ball and all the scouts are out. Such an exciting time. I do plan on having some wine sometime tonight though
Yummo wine!!

Thats so cool! Is she hoping to play in college then?

Yea, she's received 11 full ride scholarships already (she's a junior) but she's holding out for her number one. I'm 10 years older than her (my mom was nuts) so I feel like such a proud mommy lol
Getting drunk on a tall cranberry vodka while watching college football. I'm such a light weight after not drinking for nearly a year! Wine sounds really good, too.
Just had grilled chicken for dinner, yum! Was trying to watch the Tiger's game but LO got hungry and wouldn't latch. 15-20 later after some crying she finally latched and is a happy camper! She produces so much saliva it makes it hard for her to suck and then when I pull away she gets pissed. Smh

Thats awesome! I went to Syracuse University for college...is that on her list? Bball is such a great sport. You must be so proud of her- thats awesome!
Just finished watching Penn State beat Michigan in 4OT!!!
Now dh and I are discussing the layout for the kitchen renovation.
I can't wait to update our kitchen sometime! What are you hoping to change in your kitchen?
A complete makeover but utilizing existing cabinets. I hate HATE our current kitchen look. It's basic construction oak cabinets with vinyl flooring and laminate counters....yuck.
We're painting all the cabinets and updating the hardware, installing an island, getting new countertops, installing backsplash and tiling the floor. We already updated the appliances to stainless steel. I cannot wait!.

I'm jealous of all the wine. It was hard enough for me to go grocery shopping with LO trying to stuff groceries around her car seat I just couldn't walk next door for a bottle of wine (in my county they can't sell beer and wine at the grocery's, so there's a ton of beer & wine stores). Next time I am able to go I should just stock up.

What an exciting game!!
it was! We watched the first 2OT's with LO sleeping on me and both of us sitting here having the most silent celebrations possible after big plays, lol.
A touchdown...both of us just put our arms up without making a sound. Oh how life changes.
We just got home after spending the day with my family at ds's christening. He was so good and calm all day until he got overtired around what is his normal bedtime and started screaming. My aunts all thought he had gas pains and tried taking him from me. I had to tell them all to back off so I could put him to sleep, which took a few minutes, but worked. After that, my confidence skyrocketed. Mommy knows best, family. Booyah!
DS had his last soccer game of the season today. Then we spent some time at the camp on the river. Now baby is asleep and the kids and I are watching The Haunted Hathaways.

DS has taken like 18 naps today. He's not tired so we are laying in bed while he farts on me and chats me up.

G's baptism is next week. Any tips?
I made sure to feed and change him right before the ceremony so he wouldn't get hangry. He actually slept through the whole thing. That's the biggest thing. Besides that, I just made sure to bring my cover to the restaurant to bf when he woke up and kept an eye on the clock to catch him and feed him before he got too hungry. It kept him calm as he hung out with the family.

I was NOT okay with the outcome of this game! grrrr....
Anyway...
DH just got home, we're about to have some dinner and head to bed.
H, LO and I went shopping today. We live in CA where it doesn't snow but will be spending at least a week at Christmas in the DC area and costal NJ so we are trying to figure out how to dress LO.
Now we are hanging out watching Moneyball while LO sleeps on H's shoulder. I am hoping she isn't out out because I plan on bathing her before putting her down for the night.

Get a warm bundler for the car seat and a warm hat that covers lo's ears. Jersey winters are a coin flip. Either super mild or hell frozen over, lol
Red wine gives me migraines.. ( I am drinking a twisted tea, DF is shaving his facial hair off and LO can't decide if she's tired.
Ok. Before I posted I've seen the no facial hair and I HATE it. How can I let him down softly that it looks a Awful. He looks like a child.
Give it a little bit and it may grow on you. When we were dating DH had to shave his goatee when he joined the army...I hated it. Now I look back at old pics and much prefer him without it.
If it doesn't grow on you maybe hint at how sexy you found it before?

When it starts growing back in tell him how sexy it looks. Positive reinforcement

We replanted all of our plants on our front porch today. Now MH and I are eating chocolate and taking a break from dancing to Aerosmith and A Tribe Called Quest (H is an amazing breakdancer, I can watch him dance all day)

Your house sounds fun!
I'm attempting to pick up the house while also finishing off the leftover wine from girls night last night. Unfortunately the wine is winning and the spot on the coffee table in front of the couch is the only clean spot in my house so far. :-)

Tell me about it! After regulation, H gave our oldest a bath and put him to bed while I popped my head in after each OT to give an update. When Belton scored the final touchdown, I did my silent happy dance while holding one baby and bouncing the other, haha!

@ktballz I live right outside of DC, the key is pack stuff you can layer cause it can be so unpredictable. One year on thanksgiving it snowed, the next it was sunny and 65.

I'm currently pumping with blue hands. I'm working on finishing LO's baby dedication cake. What a mess I've made but I'm almost done.
I don't think I'll be getting any sleep tonight. Still need to frost the cupcakes, clean the table, set the table and prep the crockpot for the ropa vieja I'm making... Who needs sleep right? @-)
Just got home from our first thanksgiving dinner (We have four sets of parents so we eat a lot during the holidays). Heading to bed with a full stomach.

Thank you for the advice! I've never lived where it snows so I am grateful for all advice.

On a more positive note, LO is super smiley tonight so I'm enjoying every last bit of it.

Just got done giving LO a bath and am feeding her now while H plays GTA V online. I hate that game with a fiery, burning passion.
