Mainly because the way we moderate is VERY different. And we all want to stick together since they are shutting down our apps. A lot of the moms on the apps are intimidated by the boards and going to other places, so we thought if we had one place for all of us on here they would be more likely to stick with the bump.

It won't let me reply to individual posts on my phone -_- but we delete posts and sometimes ban for offensive language and are very strict on bullying. It's more relaxed over here which is good in some ways, but a lot of our moms aren't comfortable with it.

@mollinator9, I assume your mods have been in touch with BumpJackie?

There definitely are different boards with different cultures on TheBump. Mods are given some leeway to enforce the rules a bit differently, but technically it's all under the same TOU. But cursing is not really considered a flaggable offense unless it's cursing someone out abusively.

I'm curious to see how one board will have different rules than all of the other boards? As LD said, cursing (unless at someone) is not against the bump's TOU. How do you plan to moderate that?

A lot of the app users have. And some have been basically told to leave by the users of this board

They are used to one form of moderating and I just think they would be most comfortable continuing with it.
They have also gotten close with one another over the years, just as I'm sure you all have here as well! And this board would give them the option of all being together in one place!

Having said that, nothing is set in stone yet lol. Jackie hasn't even gotten a chance to ask yet so who knows we might not get anything.
