  • Yes, no, yes & yes. I was a sheep.

Also: covering my hair in teeny tiny butterfly clips, platform sneakers, and those stretchy "tattoo" bracelets & necklaces.

  • Loading the player...
  • Stirrup pants!
  • Tight Rolled Guess Jeans (white, hello) with multiple different colored socks w/white keds

Along with my super awesome perm and teased bangs

^^I wore all of this to the NKOTB show...it was the 80's and it was awesome.

NKOTB was my first concert ever--in 1st grade!  Those were the days...

@Joy2611, I totally had the feathered bangs as well.  They made for some fantastic school pictures. :)
  • I had the pink Razr phone when it first came out! I was totally a trendsetter, y'all. Also: way oversized sweaters, flannel shirts, Coca Cola clothing. I also had a Pepsi sweatshirt because I have no brand loyalty.

  • I wore giant raver pants and/or bell bottoms in high school. They were awesome.

Also I still have my raver pants tucked away. If I could wear a 28 waist again, they would be a Halloween costume. I need to lose 3 inches in a few weeks, dammit!

Worst trend would probably be having french manicured nails. Yuck.

  • I wore those henna choker looking necklaces and to be honest I hated them they hurt so badly but of course I suffered through it for the sale of fashion..... I guess that was a foreshadow about what I put my feet through now in high heels..... I refuse to take my shoes off at events because once they come off my feet swell so much that they can't go back on.... I know. It's pathetic!!!!!

I still have my orange & hot pink ufos packed away. I took them out for the first time in years to show my husband, and found a candy necklace in the pocket. I was a walking cliche. Lol

  • I rocked the tight rolled jeans for about 2 months too long back in the day and got mocked hard core for it.
  • God, I coveted the dELiA*s catalogue. Especially the inflatable furniture. And lots and lots of baby tees.
I just bought a few long sleeve shirts from Delias last month because they had the good one's with the hole in the sleeve for your thumb which I love and can't find anywhere.  I felt 15 again.
  • Taylor Swift... I'm just now coming out of it and I can't believe I LOVED that shit.

  • I was anything but cool in school- I remember being in 3rd grade and my mom sent me to school in a hot pink stretchy type jumper with stirrups and a turtle neck, complete with God awuful thick head bands. I was so embarrased. Especially being chubby those jumpers did me no favors at all.
    Hideous sweaters with neon kittens
    Winnie the pooh clothing
    Lavender eye shadow
    Too much black eyeliner
    Ridiculously pink lipstick
    Bushy Eyebrows

I didn't get a say in my clothing until around the 9th grade. I dressed like a boy. I wore a lot of baggy jeans and hoodys. I tried to hide the weight with baggy.

Nobody even noticed me until I moved away from the town I grew up and started HS in. Then I moved to a small town in Washington State and transferred to a school with 500 kids instead of my previous school that held around 1300 kids.

I was noticed right away and after people found out I as pretty talented in the arts everyone talked to me. I was the only person from my school to make it into All Northwest Choir one year. Needless to say I was pretty dorky into my late teens.

I don't regret my Coca-Cola jeans, I just wish they still fit.  Only jeans I've ever owned that made my ass look amazing.

  • What about those shirts that start small and you stretch them? One size should never fit all.
  • Oh hell ... My list is long

I had black pleather pants with my red Michael Jackson shirt and silver glove in 4th grade. I can't believe my mom let me wear that.

Jr high/high school .... WTF was I doing with the bangs??? They were probably teased about 4-5 inches high.

Also the tight rolled pants with multicolored socks.

I don't regret my gasoline jeans and overalls .... Oh how I wish overalls would come back in style, they were so comfortable. Yes I wore mine with one strap unbuttoned too.

I saw NKOTB in 9th grade .... Jordan touched my hand too!!!

What's your best/worst trend you ever went with? Did you have The Rachel? Hammer pants? Myspace Hair? A Razr phone? Do tell!

    What is MySpace hair?
I need to know this as well. I'm a little older than most of you, so apparently I missed the MySpace craze...

    I was guilty of:

a lot of hot pink/lime with black/white combos in the 80's
    white jeans
Puffy bangs a few times in the late 80's
    poet's blouse circa 1993
some strange shave the back of your head behind your ears trend in the mid-90's (I have no idea who started that, but I loved it because I have really thick hair)

I think that's about it for the bad ones, anyway.

In our area, I was the one that started the trend of wearing knee socks/knee-high tights with your school uniform in high school. Looking back, it is the most effing bizarre fashion trend I've ever seen. Not sure why I did that, but it seemingly caught on.

I also had a mohawk in college, but that was basically an attempt to go against everything that was popular, so I don't think that fits the category.

    ETA: more.

    Oh, where do I begin?

    Mall bangs
Acid-washed jeans (and an acid-washed denim purse, too)
    Slap bracelets
Plastic t-shirt ties (those little discs that pulled your t-shirt tight)
    Tight-rolling jeans
Blouses with sheer sleeves (extra points if the sheer material is a different color)
    Hypercolor shirts
    The grunge look
    The Rachel

Being a child and teenager in the '80s and mid-'90s, I had little choice but to be a fashion victim.
I still have a bunch of slap bracelets. I also have all of those multi-colored "jelly" bracelets that were supposed to mean all sorts of ridiculous things. I was a total prude in high school so I only wore them because my friends did.

ETA: Also, those shoes with the roller skates tucked into the bottom. I went through three pairs of them before I got over them. It always takes me back when I see little kids rolling around with them.

I think these are all of my other sins:
    I had a razr
rolled my jeans and wore wigwams.
    wore huge overalls
    wore hypercolor
    had mall bangs
    had slap bracelets
    wore jellies
wear uggs (present tense - I'm wearing them right now, actually!)
a local one was a fake oakley windbreaker - they were all the rage on the boardwalk :P

We are basically the same person. I was waiting for someone to say backpack purses!! LOL. I still kinda like them and have been seeing them around.

A recent trend I love is leggings under short skirts or dresses. I don't care what anyone thinks, I freaking love that and have so many colors of leggings, long and cropped.
  • I wore those huge JNKO jeans in high school, where the legs were so wide, I could have cut them off and made myself a bad ass tube top.  I wore them super low on my hips and a black spaghetti strap tank top every.single.day.  I actually was running down the hall in my house and one foot got caught up in the excessive jean material and I face planted onto the floor.  I think I stopped wearing them after that.
I also had a wallet chain that clipped to my belt when that was cool.  It would get caught in the benches at my school constantly and I would try to stand up and get yanked back to the bench.  Sexy.
Leather bondage like bracelets and chokers.  I don't know why my parents let me walk around like that.  My theory is that they laughed at my brother and I when we left the house.

They actually banned those slap bracelets when I was in elementary school for being dangerous.

Also does anyone remember the store jerzees?! It was not cool or trending but my mom would take us every school year and we would pick out solid color t shirts and then pick from one of the hundreds of images/ sayings to be screen printed. My mom also bought us the shirts that said " the perfect boyfriend" and the. Had pics of my potato head and a list of reasons why ( poke his eyes out if you get mad)

Looking back, I'm pretty sure my mom hated us hahahaj

Sidenote: If anyone wore hammer pants.... I want to see those pics!!!

Once everyone at school was bleaching there hair so I wanted to jump on the bandwagon...... It was awful. It came out bright Yellow on my roots, orange half way down and platinum on the bottom. It was so embarrassing I dyed it back to brunette less than 10 hours later.
