Endo...and can I vent for a sec?

I'm on day four of some pretty bad cramping but I also have endometriosis and am wondering if that's part of the cause. Dr wants me to come in sooner than my appt in nov to get bloodwork and an ultrasound.

Also, today was my first day back to work after finding out, and I have to say, it was a crappy friggin day. I wasn't feeling well and more than one person spoke of possible pregnancy. I have no idea how I'm going to keep this a secret until week 12. I have some good coworkers and some not so good. Not to mention I'm being run ragged and cant help but resent ppl who continue to make demands of me. I'm dreading being pregnant at work and I really don't want to feel that way. I generally like my job, most days. Maybe i'm being over sensitive.

So crappy day. Rude ppl. Cramps, fatigue, nausea, stiff neck, shakiness, and dr calls. And I'm so scared something is wrong, which definitely didn't help my mood at work. Anyone else have endo and/or cramping? And how are you dealing with work?

Re: Endo...and can I vent for a sec?

  • I work from home, so I only deal with myself. And no endo. I'm sorry things are rough! (((Hugs)))

    All Welcome

  • I don't have endo, but I do have cramping. And I definitely have the issues at work. I'm a teacher, so I have 100 teenagers all day demanding various things of me. My first period class keeps asking me why I'm so tired, and I just want to say BECAUSE I'M PREGNANT, OK? CUT ME A BREAK! But I can't.

((hugs)) it has to get better! It will be so nice when I feel like I can come clean at work, especially to my students.

  • Thanks ladies.  I'm going in for blood work this weekend and Monday to make sure my hormone levels are on track.  The cramping seems to be lessening, so I'm taking that as a good sign.  But we want to be sure.

I definitely hear the desire for a war cry at work though, if for no other reason than to scream at the top of my lungs that I'm not lazy, over emotional, or over sensitive...I'M PREGNANT PEOPLE!

I can't wait til it's all out in the open as well.  I'm typically a pretty open book...this is challenging.

Hugs back to you all.  So happy i have these boards.  :)
