Good gracious. Apparently I have a bionic uterus. I'm 6cm, 100% effaced, cervix has moved to anterior position (it was tipped WAY backwards before). Baby's fully engaged and between -1 and 0 station. The contractions that I swore were 10-20 min apart are showing up at around 8min apart on the monitors but I still can't feel them. I'm on bedrest til Saturday when I hit 37w and then I've been instructed to walk my legs off.
If I make it to my next appt (a week from today) they're going to sweep membranes and send me home with a hospital breastpump for nipple stimulation. They don't really want to try breaking waters or pitocin at this point since I'm still pretty early, but that needs to be balanced against the fact that I live an hour from the hospital and the road to get there is under massive construction as of today (it was more like an hour and a half to get there today, ugh) plus the fact that I'm already so dilated and effaced that things could go very, very quickly.
So. I'm parked in bed, writing a hospital bag list and an Ikea shopping list for Saturday and I'm going to walk all of Ikea and then the mall if necessary.

Hopefully my water breaks on its own sometime soon thereafter. Ticking time bomb, party of one!
