Is your baby the first grandchild?

Just wondering how many of our March babies will be the first grandchild. DD was the first for both sets of parents in our case.

DS was the first on my side of the family and the second on DH's side. Now there are 8 on DH's side (this LO makes 9) and 4 on my side (about to be 7 -- both my brothers' wives are expecting!)

DS is the first, this one will be my parents second and DH's parents third.

This baby will be number 4 for my parents and number 1 for DH's parents. Both of our families are super excited! I don't think my parents excitement for grandbabies has waned in the last 4 years since my nephew was born. As my mother always says, "grandchildren are God's reward to you for allowing your own children to mature and reproduce!"

My first two girls girls are the first two grandchildren on both sides. My March LO will be the third on DH's side and fourth on mine since I have a nephew about a year younger than DD2. I think my mom is almost more excited for this new baby than she was for my first two because she thought we were done and she wasn't getting more grandbabies from us :P

Kind of the first for both sides...definitely for my parents, but with my in-laws, my BIL & SIL are two months ahead of us. So technically, ours will be the second on my husbands side, but it's so close that's it's kinda like they are both the first.

DS was the first for all 3 sets of parents, this baby will be the 2nd for all 3 sets. We always knew DS would have siblings before cousins.

This is the first for my parents and his father. He has 2 1/2 sisters that already have kids, one of them is 23 or 24 I think!

First for my parents - & I (sometimes) think my mother is more excited than we are. She literally said, "I've been waiting my whole life to be a grandmother!" when we told her I was pregnant.

My husband's sister and his brother's wife are both pregnant and due before us. So ours will be 3rd.
On my side it'll be #12.

I put first for my parents. But depending on how you look at it, this baby could be considered DH's dad's first also (DH's mom isn't around). DH's oldest brother was raised as DH's dad's child, but isn't biological, but apparently he doesn't know this (idk how he doesn't but whatever) and he has a son.

My little guy will be the first grandchild for both. Everyone including grandparents, aunts and uncles are very, very excited!! I think my sister might even surpass my mom's excitement if that's at all possible!

I voted SS, this LO will be the 8th for my inlaws. My angel was my dad's first grandchild and she always will be, but this LO will be the first take home baby grandchild for my dad.

It's truly the first grandchildren for my dad. But my mom technically has step grandchildren although we don't see them much at all. For my in laws we will be adding the 6th and 7th grandchild and they are all going to be 4 and under!!!!

LOL - DH (somewhat of a pragmatist) likes to say that "having grandchildren means that evolution-wise... you've won at life!"

DS was first on both sides, this will be the second. Probably no cousins for our kids for another 2-3 years at least.

LO will be the 1st on my side, 13th on DH's needless to say my side is way more excited over a new baby. Seems like its old news to DH's. Last year there were 3 boys born. We're hoping they get more excited as time goes by.

Ours is a little weird. It is the first for my parents. DH has a half brother who has a daughter. They have the same dad, not mom. But of course DH's mom is grandma to our niece, but I think it'll be different for her to have her first "blood" grandchild (even though I think that is completely ridiculous, that is how DH's family views things).

This will be the first great grandchild for my grandparents as well.

I'm the first born and so is he. But my younger sister got pregnant two years ago. So not first on my side. First on dh's side. But then they're getting another one two months after, his sister is also pregnant.
