Is it Safe to Use Essential Oils While Breastfeeding?

Hi Mamas, I've posted this over on the BF board, but thought I'd try here as well! I've tried to research this but I haven't been able to find any good resources on this...anyone know if it is safe (or what is safe) to use essential oils topically? I want to start using Lush Cosmetics' shampoo bars which have all natural essential oils but I'm not sure if they will adversely affect BFing or baby. Any thoughts Mamas? TIA
