Lower Westchester OB's

Hi Everyone, my husband and I are relocating to Lower Westchester (Scarsdale, White Plains, or Larchmont...still up in the air). I'm looking for OB recommendations. I am considered high risk after a tubal pregnancy and loss of tube. Hoping to find a great doctor with a lot of experience in high risk pregnancy. Also, if there are recommendations for hospitals to deliver, please include. Thanks so much!

Re: Lower Westchester OB's

  • Northern westchester hospital is great for high risk but does not have a NICU so they transferred my care to Columbia Presbyterian. I hear westchester medical center can also meet my needs. My first Ob whom I love, is affiliated with phelps memorial, but she is located in sleepy hollow. (Dr. Castano)

  • Bronxville (Lawrence Hospital) is where I had my son.  Loved it!  I can't say enough about their maternity ward, the nursing staff and the associated OBGYNs.  Also, try Ridge Hill Obstetrics.  They are a great group!

I have Dr. Orofino and his office is located right next to Lawrence Hospital so it's convenient.

  • I delivered with dr sharma in rye. I'm at risk for tubal pregnancy due to a blocked tube. Their practice is great and they deliver at Greenwich. Which is like a country club lol. It's amazing!
  • I also delivered at Greenwich Hospital & it was a great experience- great nursing staff! My OB gyn is part of the Westchester Medical group. My doc is Dr. Grano-love her!
  • I delivered DD at 31 weeks at White Plains Hospital. They have an amazing NICU and the best nursing staff. My OB is Dr. Wright and she is with WestMed. There are 4 other doctors she works with, all of whom I met while on bedrest in the hospital. There are also some great perinatologists with WestMed. Mine was Dr. Alkalay.

  • I can't say enough good things about Dr. Khoury in Hartsdale! Good luck with the home search. I'm from Scarsdale and work in Larchmont.
