Rashes updated

We have a mystery rash that showed up Saturday morning. I have no experience with hives, but that's what it looks like to me. I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out what she could have come in contact with - we haven't changed anything. I'm still nursing her at night, but she and I eat the same thing. She was home from daycare on Friday, so it wasn't something she caught there.

She's had a low grade fever lately, but I took that to be from teething. And she didn't have the fever the same time as she had the rash. I'm worried because it seems to be spreading - it was just on her upper half, but now it's creeping down her legs. She is so uncomfortable and fussy, poor girl.

The only thing I've come up with is that I might have added too much Johnson's & Johnson's to her bath Friday night. This stuff made her break out when she was itsy bitsy, but she's seemed to be tolerating scents better (I only know this because my mom completely ignored me when I asked her not to put anything in Evie's bath, and she did anyway.) I got her bath ready, and my husband bathed her. We put her in a completely soap-free bath last night, and I will again later, but it really bothers me that it's getting worse.

Thoughts, anyone?

Any chance she had the MMR shot recently? Our pedi said that __% (obviously I don't remember the exact %) of kids will have a reaction about 2 weeks later with fever and a rash, and DD seems to have gotten that.

Sigh. It's Sixth Disease, Roseola. I have no idea how she would have gotten this, and I don't know anything about it, really. She had a low fever for three days (which I thought was from teething,) and a snuffly nose. She's been super cranky since Wednesday (when the fever started,) and a low appetite. All which I chalked up to teething, under Saturday morning when she was covered with a rash.

But yeah, it looks exactly like the pictures, and she has the symptoms. Does anyone know anything about this at all?

DS had this but he mostly just had a really high fever. This was what he had when he got those damn febrile seizures because his fever would spike up to 104.9 in 5 minutes. But he didn't really have cold symptoms just the fever and lethargy for about three days then he broke into the rash. His pedi said roseola and there's nothing you can do but treat with Motrin for fever. The rash is a viral rash and shouldn't bother your LO. I hope she feels better fast!

DS had roseola. Once the rash hits, it's not contagious anymore. You're through the worst part. The rash peaks at 48 hours (I believe that's what the Dr said) and then should be getting better. There is nothing you can do about it though. And I'm assuming DS picked it up at daycare, but really, they can get it anywhere.
