AW: My baby shower!

Yesterday I had my baby shower and it was so nice and then it got weird and then it got nice again. My MIL did an awesome job, she made a beautiful cake and some delicious food that everyone was dying over. My close friends were there to celebrate with me. My FIL made my Dad cry (in a good way) and of course I got some wonderful things.

Funny side notes: We had to play this really weird game where you tied a big metal spoon/ladle around your stomach and had to squat over a burning candle and try to put out the flame with the candle. It was so weird looking and actually very hard but it gave everyone a good laugh!

I was going through my cards today to make my Thank You notes (look at me not procrastinating!) and someone that my in-laws invited thought that my name was the babies name... ha.

My beautiful cake my MIL made from scratch. You can see where the one kid in attendance kept sticking his finger in it.. ha!

My bump and I. It took me forever to find a dress and shoes.. of course I also waited til the night before/morning of to find one.

This is the "weird" game we had to play. You can see my huge feet falling out of my shoes and that I was trying to cheat by using my hands.

I hope these pictures resize... and I didn't take any on my phone but I wish I had one of DH & I to put up. He was so cute during the whole thing, especially opening presents.

No, she isn't she's just amazing at like everything! She also knitted little sandals for the baby and knitted doilies for the candles she gave out as favors. I almost died over the knitted newborn sandals, seriously so adorable. I didn't take the pictures so I don't have many to share yet but once I find the sandals in the pile of gifts, I'll share them. They are so amazing!

bah, thank you! Ha, my feet are normally really tiny, so tiny that people constantly comment on their size and tease me... now I guess they're technically just normal people sized but a little poofy to the touch.

Oh my goodness, that cake is adorable! Way to go MIL for her awesome skills!

I definitely agree that the game looks a little awkward, but all the laughs definitely would make it worth it. Lol. High five to you for being physically able to attempt at putting the flame out! I could not have done it! =;

ETA- spelling
