I agree! I have everything set to private. I was on FB the other day and jumped from page to page of people. I found a hair cut on a girl I loved and totally printed the picture for my hairstylist. Now I have some random girls picture in my house for a haircut idea. Totally strange and I if the roles were reversed I wouldn't want someone else to be able to do that to me, it's creepy yo

It just depends on the situation and pay. Personally, I can't stand a dirty house so I would always do some light cleaning when I had time, just because I was the one who had to be there all day. i also tend to charge more for that reason.

Ours does all the cleaning and laundry including CDs for the whole house. We pay her 5 hours extra a week to do all of that. She also has time during naps. We don't want her doing cleaning while she is taking care of DS. Our situation is a little different than most because she lives with us, so naturally as a house member she has to contribute to keeping the house clean on top of her "work" duties.

Nanny = babysitter + chores, cleaning etc... Babysitter = watching, taking care of kids, no chores

I desperately want to TTC again but am scared of coming off my Lexapro. I tried weaning myself the past few weeks and finally stopped taking it for 3 days. I felt like I was losing it. Thankfully, DH was home to help out and give me a break. I want to try for baby #2 so badly but I am scared to talk to my ob about trying for another baby while on the medication. I'm scared to stay on it while pregnant and I'm scared to come off of it.

Pinterest/twitter/IG/etc = social media that I keep public.
fb= nope. That's way more personal. Plus I keep it locked down out of respect to my fb friends, too. But I've also had FB since I was 18 (2004) so there's a lot of stuff on there that I don't want to go weed through.

I do hear you on the point of respecting my friends, especially when we take pictures of our kids together. I make sure to always ask if I can post (tell tell them my page is open, obvi). Most have said they don't mind, those that do mind I make a point to keep those pictures on a photosharing site that is private, but friends and family have access to.

I have never been on a plane and I felt a a ting of jealousy of all of you that travel often.

My vehicle inspection expired in Sept. we don't have $400 to fix what it needs to pass inspection and I'm stressed out worrying about it.

I'm irrationally upset at the bedside manner and lack of compassion and tools of a state ranked hospital my mom is in right now. I'm sorry but my father should NOT have to bring in her shower chair because a hospital that does rehab for paraplegics does not have the proper tools for her to use the bathroom. They also didn't take the proper measures to prevent pneumonia after surgery and now she has it. When my dad complained (there are many issues besides the ones I stated) he set up a meeting the person didn't even write anything and completely disregarded all of my dad's concerns.

this was more a vent than an FFFC sorry..but I'm just angry.

I agree with this too. I actually think there should be no "rules" for how people use FB. If you want to post 10,000 pictures a day of your kid - go for it. If you want to brag about how much you workout and post shameless selfies - go for it. Do whatever you want, it's your page and people can just not follow you if they don't like what they see.

This isn't really Flame-worthy, but I can't even keep CNN open on my computer today because there is a giant picture of some chick's mouth on the main page and it's so so gross.

DH is Naval Reserve and his drill weekend got cancelled this weekend because of the shutdown.

I'm secretly happy about this because I did not want to solo parent the teething monster this weekend. And I feel like a jackwad for being happy about something that's really bad for a lot of people right now.

What precautions did they not take to prevent a pneumonia?

They didn't give her the device 'incentive spirometer' I believe that's the name of it until after 4 days and realizing her lung had collapsed and she developed pneumonia. I may be wrong but I feel as though that's pretty important to have after any surgery especially for someone who can not get out of bed and walk around. Maybe someone who has more experience in this can explain it better to me.

That's true. I'm definitely not ashamed, its just not accepted in my social circle/ family. I've been defending myself for months and I guess I'm just worn out. I don't like the head and neck rub that stylists do when they wash your hair at the salon. I usually end up tensed and with a crick in my neck. Just wash my hair and use that sprayer as much as you want, thanks!

Yup, but I missed the first GTGs and never got to be part of the cool TC gang. Bummer.

My FFFC: my SIL is 36 weeks and told me yesterday that she thinks the baby is going to come "very soon." I smiled and told her we can't wait. Inside I wanted to throat-punch her because I went 2 weeks over and was jealous that she even THINKS she's going early. I'm a horrible person.
