I'm a SAHM to a 2 year old boy.

I have a degree in English and I'm 2 classes short of a graduate degree in Accounting.

I do some tax work part time in the tax season, and I'm not very motivated to finish my degree or take the CPA exam.

I love to read.

I have a weakness for cute toddler clothing and shoes. Even though I use Ebay (to buy and sell), I have spent a small fortune on his fall and winter clothes.The kid has a better wardrobe than I do. I have one pair of jeans, for instance.

My H and I have been together for 11 years and married for 5 on October 15. We got married in San Diego on vacation and had a reception of sorts when we came home.

We have 2 cats, Chardonnay and Lance, and an unnamed turtle.

We live in Portland, Oregon and love it. We wouldn't live anywhere else except maybe Vancouver, Canada.

Edited because I'm pretty sure there's no Vancouver in California, whoops.

Hey! I'm Sarah. Married for 10 years to a man I met on the internet in '96 before it was a socially acceptable way to make friends. We have an amazing 2.5 year old daughter and 3 spoiled dogs.

I've been posting on TB regularly since '09-- started out on GP which is now TTGP.

I used to be pro-abortion, but having Nate has totally changed my perspective on that. I am so glad I didn't know he had genetic issues. We would have terminated. I am ashamed.

I'm Monica. I'm 35 (36 in Dec), DH is 34. DS is 3.
I have a BFA in Theatrical Design & Technology with a focus in Lighting Design. Lots of words means nothing. :-(
DH and I met in 2000 when I started working for the company we both still work for. I'm an office manager/sales person (box sales) and he is a service technician. Our company is a small (medium by industry standards, small by real world standards) theatrical and special events lighting co. We do a lot of corporate meetings, weddings, mitzvahs......
We have a 7yo black lab border collie mix who is dumb as a stump but the sweetest thing ever.
I'm am painfully shy and super sarcastic. I am often referred to as "sassy Eeyore."
I believe in ghosts and spirits and have seen/experienced many both in my childhood and in my time working in a haunted theatre in college.

I'm crash and I am about to turn 33. I met dh at college, though technically it was in a hotel in Beloit, wi, as our soccer teams traveled together. He dumped me in Christmas Day our freshman year but we got back together at the beginning of our junior year. He later proposed to me on Christmas Day. We will celebrate 8 years of marriage in November. My fist two babies are Haley and holly the mini schnauzers and then dd came along 2 years ago. I am a die hard dmb fan and I don't care what the haters say.

I went to HS in Beloit. Be glad you only had to stay one night.......

Am I too late? I like talking about myself.

I'm SunnyMeg. I've been married a little over a year to my handsome hubby whom I met in a class. He stole my heart, I stole his virginity. My ILs hate me but continue to pray for my soul. I started on the Oct '13 BMB and amidst 1st tri crazy I meandered over here, got sucked in with some interesting political-ish discussions, and stayed for the 1D GIFs. We lost our son at 16 weeks in April; he would have been arriving any day now which sucks but he's got the best grandparents in heaven holding him until I get up there. We also lost a daughter two years ago at 20 weeks. I stay here because other boards that fit where I am right now are a little too intense for my liking. I'm a really kick-ass aunt to my 5 nieces and nephews and if it's the closest I come to having kids of my own I'll still be happy. We were planning to TTC this fall but have put it on hold indefinitely so for now I continue to be a childless poster on the Parenting board as long as people will let me stay.

I met DH in college. I was 19, he was 25 divorced with two daughters. My 19 year old brain thought it would be a good match (glad it worked out!). I met him online while he was doing a tour in Iraq, picked him up from the airport annnnd he never left lol. We have been together almost 10 years. My SDs are 11 and 12 and I have a DS who is 10.5 months.

We lived in the DC area, moved to Memphis for DHs job for 3 years then he got laid off and couldn't find anything so we moved back. We are now trying to move to Michigan (DHs ex moved back home after the split so we don't see the girls enough).

I like Harry Potter. A LOT.

I'm Mags and I just turned 31 and live in WI in a suburb of Milwaukee. My DS is 5.5 and DD is almost 2. I have been married to DH for 8 years and together for 12. We met my senior year of HS and his freshman year of college online through a match quiz that I just did for fun, not expecting to actually meet anyone from it. We were from neighboring towns though and did know some people in common so I felt a little better about meeting him. We dated through 4 years of college and were 2.5 hours apart, so we were long distance but saw eachother mostly every weekend.

I graduated with a degree in Zoology and ended up working in an unrelated field for 4 years before deciding to go to Nursing School when DS was 1. I have been working as a nurse for almost 3 years now and very happy I made that decision.

I can be very sarcastic which doesn't always come across right in text, but I think most people around here have a good sense of humor.

Heyo - Littledeer here. I took my name from a onesie dd used to wear when she was an itty bitty. It had Bambi on it. I will be 30 next year, met my H in high school band and married him 7 years later - we have been together for 12 years now. Grew up in CO, live in NE. One DD, who is almost 3. I want to have more, but so far no luck. It took 18 cycles to get pregnant the first time, and we seems to not be very fertile. I work as a civil engineer, have a dog we rescued in August and a cat I named after Sawyer from Lost. He is my first baby. I lurk a lot, and have followed some of these ladies around different boards for 3 years now! Work doesnt allow me to post much, and I am not as quick witted as most of the parenting regulars, but I really enjoy following the board and have LOL'd regularly here.

@motherofpearl85 I more meant where people are saying they're from. It's just about 8, so yeah, early still. From my experience on The Knot and here, there just aren't as many west coast people. Over on PB the threads tend to be a couple chicks in SoCal, a chick at work in Germany, and myself, late at night my time.

I'm 42, married with 2 kids. DD is 8 (will be 9 next month) and DS just turned 2 a couple of weeks ago. Met my DH on a blind date 15 years ago and will be celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary later this month. I am a SAHM mom but worked as a legal assistant in a prosecutor's office for 11 years or so before staying home with the kids. DH is an attorney. We live in Central Texas and have a dog and cat. In my spare time I enjoy reading, wine and working in the yard.

I'm late to the game as usual.

I am 38, I live in Austin but have traveled to a few different states. I have RA and fibro. I SAH and I am working on finishing up my Bachelor's in Sociology with a Minor in Child Development. I like kinky sex and tattoos, I have never been a fangirl of any singer or actor, and I still have yet to listen to a 1D song even though I have read a ton of the fangirl posts about them.

DH is 37 with a Bachelor's in Computer Science and he works 3rd shift from home dealing with a bunch of whiny people who don't own servers but have no clue how to work them.

In our relationship I think he is the awesome one and I suck most of the time.

Our son is almost 11 months old. We hope to try for a second child in February using our last two snow babies.

I have a weird sense of humor and most of the time no one laughs at my jokes. Its ok. I think I am hilarious.

I'm 25 (and I will be 25 forever, stop getting older plz) and I have three kids. I went to college but never got a job in my field because SAHM, but then my student loans were like, "Hey! You can't pay us!" and now I'm in mega debt, which sucks, but whatever. And hey, I just got a job! So that's cool.

My SO and I met in high school, lost touch, then did that thing where we randomly went out on a date and were like, "We should be together and shit." Then we found out I was KU, like, two weeks later (with DD2). Whoops! Except not really because she is awesome. We hit a rocky patch and split while I was 11 weeks pregnant with DS but then started working it out when DS was a few weeks old. We're doing super good now, even though we still get on each others' nerves.

I'm battling depression and anxiety and I realized I was being a huge asshole so I redoubled my efforts starting about two weeks ago and I'm starting to win a lot more now. I like tattoos. I just got two new ones like an hour ago. My feet hurt. Potato.

@Mags748 I'm in the Milwaukee area too! I'm graduating nursing school in December; this will be my second degree as I was a special education teacher for a year. I'm hoping I can find a job pretty quick once I graduate or my husband may consider leaving my ass behind

@Brewcitygal - What school are you going to if you don't mind me asking? I graduated 3 years ago in December and took a job I knew I wouldn't want to stay at just to gain experience. 10 months later when I was on maternity leave with DD I applied to a bunch of jobs and got tons of responses and found a job I am really happy with. So I guess my advice is, don't hold out for your dream job right away if you are having a hard time finding a job because in a year, you will have that "magic" year of experience that is needed for so many jobs. That year passes by pretty fast.

I'm late to the party, but I'm Jen. I have a BS in Accounting and did that until I had my second kid. Now I SAH with them. I loved my job and I like this enough . I knit and crochet for a group that makes chemo caps, scarves, bereavement packages for local cancer centers and hospitals. I love to read and one day it will happen again.

I've been with DH for 15 years. He works in IT. We live in TX, but have absolutely no family here. I love my baby sitters.

I'm Scout. Hiiiiii. I've lived my entire life in Eastern NC and I will never, ever leave. I was an English major at an all-girls college in Raleigh and fulfilled my alma mater's stereotype by marrying an NC State frat boy. We are both 34 years old. We met at a bar in 2001 and got married in 2007. We have a daughter, Betsy, who turned three in June. She is high drama but completely amazing. We are probably one and done. We have two redbone hounds named Scout and Katie Sue (hence my SN). I work in lending/finance and H is a geotechnical engineer.

I joined TK in 2006 and started posting on TB towards the end of my first trimester in the fall of 2009. I've posted regularly ever since.

I let my nerd flag fly with pride on TB but I keep it under wraps IRL. Most of my IRL friends have no idea that I am addicted to YA lit, GRRM, Harry Potter, pop music, and Larry Stylinson fanfics. I identify as a Harry girl with a major soft spot for Lou since he was my first 1D love.
