Well someone's got to break the ice and it might as well be me...
I don't think you have to wear your wedding ring ALL the time, like those people whose rings are sunk into their skin because they never take them off. I take mine off every night. If it's the weekend and we are staying home I don't put it on at all. DH is the same way. Occasionally one or both of us forget and leave the house without it on. NBD.
I don't think babies are as expensive as they're made out to be.
I agree! I totally agree!
My UO for the day;
I don't think brightly/crazy coloured nail polish looks good on people over a certain age. I don't know exactly what that age is.... But I think my mum looks absolutely ridiculous in purple nail polish. I'm a huge fan of subtlety.
I hate the stiletto nails. They should only be allowed for witches on Halloween.
I could never work third shift. I remember my waitressing days, and it killed me to wait around all day to go to work. i dont like to have anything hanging over my head for the day
Unless it's absolutely necessary, I don't know how people fly with toddlers. I'd rather die than be trapped in an enclosed quiet area with mine while trying to keep him mellow. I mean for vacations and stuff like that of course.
My parents live 16 hours away and my grandparents live 12 hours away but the flights are only 2 - 2.5 hours. I have no family near by so we have to fly to visit everyone. I would much rather put him on a plane than drive. But we've been flying since he was 3 months DS is great about sleeping on planes
About flying, Howell has been on fifteen flights and he mostly does well. They've mostly been short trips but it is totally doable.
About expenses of children, I think what makes them so expensive is college. It gets more and more expensive every year. You can have a child go through gifted programs, get the best grades possible, and everything right and still miss out on scholarships. I want to be able to help bankroll all my kids through college.
Calling all travel mamas! When flying do you rent a carseat at your destination or still bring your own? For this I will miss the infant seat/caddy combo.

You bring your own because who is to prove the supplied seats are safe? But you can get this thing in which you wheel it through the airport. Lo can actually ride in it or you can bring your stroller or wear them too. Then you gate check the wheeling thing and the stroller free of charge.
ETA: it is one of those things that sucks the first time and gets easier every time.

I always wear my rings. Unless I am baking/cooking something messy. Then I take them off. I find it odd when people take them off to sleep, shower, clean, etc.
I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion here or not but I think political discussions need to be banned from Facebook till this government shutdown is over. Maybe I just need to stay off facebook till it is over.
People on both sides (Republican and Democrats) are driving me bat shit crazy with all the links to media coverage that is completely fabricated non-sense. It makes me stabby how gullible the general public can be and how the majority of people posting crap in reality know very little if anything about the national budget, the debt ceiling, or obamacare.
If you are going to engage in conversations for or against something please educate yourself on the topic before sharing your opinion with the world people!
Okay that turned more into a rant than a UO but I have zero desire to engage all these people on my FB feed but needed to put it out there somewhere.
Edited because mobile sucks for proof reading mistakes.
That truly is a UO. Banana laffy taffy is the lowest form of candy. I was left with a bowl full of them last Halloween. Now pink laffy taffy is directly from heaven.

I'm ready for a nap my 11am!
Actually, I don't think I have the attention span for movies in general. I haven't watched a movie in at least a year.

My super late UO is that I very much dislike candy corn.
Candy Corn is quite possibly one of the worst things on the planet...
Pair one with a peanut...sweet and salty, chewy and crunchy heaven in your mouth.
@mmknightly, I'll come nom on the reject candy with you on Nov. 1st. It'll be my bday then, so it's a double excuse!
