Phipps Santa

So I (finally) received my invitation to reserve a time for the Phipps Santa this year. Well low and behold they now have a different Santa. I'm so bummed since the reason why I've jumped through all these hoops and gone through the long process is to get transition photos and now it won't be the same. Does anyone know what happened? It says he's still available for private events. Maybe we should all arrange for our own private event...lol.

    He was having a lot of health concerns last year, back problems and such. It was getting to be too much for him and he had to take extra breaks. It's sad- he was a part of so many family traditions. But I decided to give new Santa a chance this year. For starters, I like the Phipps backdrop better than most. Also, we've made a tradition of combining this with a visit to the pink pig so its more than just Santa. I don't think my kids are old enough to notice he's different... Red suit, white beard = Santa. I do wonder if older kids might put it together?

    Aw.. that is really sad. I hope he's doing okay. This would've been my son's fourth year going. He's always been so kind. It's been a big 'to do' for us to go down and have dinner and then go get photos with Santa. We even went last year when my water could've seriously broken in line because I was THAT pregnant. If anyone hears about him doing photos somewhere, please let me know.
