I'm so pissed right now. I was just confronted at work about my pregnancy. Apparently the whole floor is talking about it and not understanding why I haven't announced since I'm obviously half way along. One woman even said I had a slight waddle. Seriously people? 1) I'm quiet about it because I'm barely 13 weeks along assholes! And 2) I don't freaking waddle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you tell I'm upset?

I know I'm showing but I'm obviously in denial over how much. My husband insists that I'm being an idiot. In his opinion, I must be a moran to think people were oblivious to my growing stomach. I know this sounds absurd, but I really didn't want people to know yet. Despite my obvious belly, I thought normal people would have respected my privacy. Maybe stopped and though hey, she must have a reason for being so quiet. I guess not though.

Seriously, the only acceptable comment on a pregnant woman's appearance is "She looks amazing and beautiful!"

Must be the twins. I feel like I'm more than half way already. Every time I stand I feel the weight of the babies. Don't remember that with the other two. Do you wish you could just go in bitch mode and tell them if you wanted them to know you would have told them?

This has put me in such a bad mood. It's too the point where I just want to leave work and scream. This may be one of my first official pregnancy meltdown. I know I am probably overreacting, but this was supposed to be MY news to share, not theirs.

A lady here at work asked me if I was pregnant & I said yes. I'm not going to deny it. But the kicker was when she said " I was going to ask you last week, cause I noticed how broad you are getting!"

I'm 14 weeks!!!! I've gained 1lb!!!! Yes I have a slight pudge but honestly I had that before!!!! I hate people.

I told two people at work that aren't my boss, they both said,"I thought so... You're usually so thin." I guess it's a compliment, but I haven't gained a pound yet.

I work with JD/PINS youth in a residential treatment center and one of the kids asked if I was pregnant bc I waddle when I walk. I probably do haha.

It is not absurd. People should respect your privacy but sadly a lot of people just don't have the sense to do so. You are entitled to be upset - I would be too.

The nerve of some people! I knew one of my good friends was pregnant at least 3 weeks before she announced it (just noticed little things) but I didn't say a word or let on until she told me. I think everyone deserves to share their news when they're ready and how they want. I'd never call someone out for the simple fact that when they want me to know, they'll tell me period... And if someone called me out I'd make it known how rude I think it is to take the joy out of the moment when it's clearly no ones business but mine and my husbands until we decide otherwise.

It's your business if and when you want to announce your pregnancy to them. I'm angry at them for you. If this continues maybe you would be better off contacting HR about their behavior?

aww im sorry if it makes you feel any better i got spoken to by my nurse manager about how everyone knows im pregnant and i should just go ahead and announce it. im bullshit its no ones business and i will tell people when im ready. and i was actully planning on telling people october 11th after my NT scan!!! im sorry hun try and ignor them all

My co-worker and I are both pregnant (and share an office! LOL). We talk about our pregnancies a lot throughout the day. She is almost 20 weeks ahead of me and is a first timer. We've started a list of "what not to say to a pregnant woman." Someone had the nerve to tell her that her cheeks were really filling out and a family member exclaimed that she was really getting fat! Please keep in mind that she is all baby belly and there is NO extra weight on her. People are ridiculous. I'm sure I'll get all kinds of stupid comments when they all find out about me. I've already been asked if it was planned and didn't I have enough kids already with the two that I have. UGH!

UGH, sorry you went through that. I got huge for my first pregnancy and at about 30 weeks looked full term and people would be like "Oh any day now huh!?" And I'm like, "Um, really I hope not it's way too early, about 10 weeks to go" then they'd just look at me horrified. I even had other pregnant women (WHO SHOULD KNOW BETTER) tell me "there has to be more than one in there!"
