In hospital over night

At 7pm I started having a contraction. I recognised straight away it was a contraction and not Braxton Hicks as had baby before and was familiar with them.
I timed them to be exactly 10 minutes apart. I called hospital and they told me to come in as I'm only 34 weeks.
The doctor checked to see if I was dialated, cervix still closed. However, they wanted to monitor me. It's now 1.14am and I'm still contracting.
