How long has your baby went between poopy diapers? Is LO formula fed, breast fed, or a combo?

I mentioned to another mom I know, that DD hasn't pooped in 6 days. (EBF) The mom freaked out, and tried to convince me to take DD to the ER. She did not believe me when I said BF babies can go 10 days between BMs, and said she never heard of it, and not to believe everything I read on the internet.

DD1 used to go 8 days between. Surely my babies aren't the only ones?

My ebf baby poops a lot. At least 3x a day.

LO poops 2-3 times daily. Yet I know for some a week is normal.

My EBF LO poops at almost every feeding...that's a LOT of diapers!
BUT, our pedi told us babies can range from several times a day to once a week. Id listen to my dr over a friend.

Stupid mobile won't let me edit my post. Our pedi told us babies can go past 10 days and be fine, but if we hit 10 days to call and get her checked out.

Mine has gone 5-6 days.. EBF .. Then we added a small amt of supplemental formula and even now he's only going once a day,. Sometimes only every other day. Someone here a few weeks ago mentioned how poop is waste and there isn't much leftover waste from breast milk.. That theory has been what I used to rationalize fewer dirty diapers.. It makes sense to me!

We mostly BF but have to use some formula to supplement. DD usually poops at least once a day, often more than once. She did go 4-5 days without pooping a few weeks ago (she will be 7 weeks tomorrow), and the pedi wasn't concerned.

Some EBFers don't poop that much. There isn't much waste in BM. LO is every 1-2 days. DD once went 7 days without and wasn't constipated.

EBF and sometimes goes a day or two without pooping.. Charts say that breastfed babies can only go once every four days and that's normal. I'm sure 6 is okay. Wet diapers are what counts now, I think.

My ds is ebf and poops at least 3x per day but usually around 4 or 5.I'm inclined to say that 8 days is a long time without a poop. You could always ask your paed. It might just be normal for your babies!

LO is EBF and poops about 2-3 times a day (pretty small amounts though). My mom told me about the not-much-waste thing with BM. She said sometimes during growth spurts too, they will poop less. Makes sense to me. Unless THEY seem uncomfortable, and as long as they're peeing, I'm sure it's fine.
