  • Oh the underpants thing is horrible. I have to keep going to the bathroom to check i'm not bleeding.

Also, i'm still pooping so I can't complain. However, about half of what i'm used to comes out and its such an effort. I never feel like i'm done either. I just want to get back on my regular pooing schedule!

However I am very happy we will not have summer swamp crotch. That was the ultimate worst.

This was going to be mine as soon as I saw this post. I think I am single handedly keeping the panty liner business afloat.

Yes. Sorry to be the bearer of bad new but it's important to know so you're prepared. I wanted to name my poop because it felt like I just pushed out another kid.

Pooping after birth was probably the scariest thing I've ever done. First of all, I constantly feared ripping my stitches and you can't wipe like you would normally because of all the hemorrhoids.

There you have it, the ugly truth!

They are talking about pooping after giving birth, not during. And boobs are not TMI!

Yes I thought I was going to die. I had a c-section and I could not even imagine how much it hurt but it will go away and you will forget about it

  • I had no problem with the after baby poop. I had a small, but painful internal tear and a couple hemorrhoids. I think I went the day she was born.

Maybe I'm a total anomaly here, but those painful uterus cramps the first few days nursing always made me feel like I was going to have diarrhea. I had to hand baby off to my husband mid-nursing session and dash to the bathroom on several occasions.

I had a c/s and I couldn't laugh/cough/sit up/force to poop ect ect ect for a couple weeks without pain meds.  I took colace twice a day for like 2 weeks and that helped a lot.  Make sure to have colace in the house for PP.  It was a lifesaver for me.

Pooping was the absolute worst as were the hemorrhoids that came along with it ... They give you a sitz bath that you can fill with warm water and place on the toilet and sit it ... It helps your stiches and also usually helped me poop

  • I was afraid to poop as well after I had my son but it was definitely not as bad as I thought it would be. Wiping ended up being more scary than the actual pooping.

I am ready for energy and sex drive to come back. I was so horny before I got pregnant (which ones of the first signs that was pregnant because it tanked), my poor husband keeps asking and I just don't feel like it. I had bleeding last pregnancy from an irritated cervix from sex since my husband is well endowed, I don't want that fear again but I want sex!
  • I was also scared about first poop after birth, but the hospital gave me stool softener automatically after birth so it was totally fine, and I tore and expected it to hurt!! Didnt bother me at all, based on responses above, I guess I'm lucky ;)
  • Late to the party but the key to pooping after labor is to ask for a stool softener when you ask for those first pain meds.  It helps everything come out a million times easier.

They give you pills to help, but it's a little scary b/c it does hurt the first time. I took Dulcolax for the first couple weeks to help until everything was back to normal. Just don't try and force anything too much or you could get hemorrhoids. I avoided them, so I guess I got lucky there.

As for this pregnancy, I just hate all the nausea and gas. ugh.

I had a 3rd degree tear. The first poop was only painful b/c I had fully formed, super hard poo. No pre-delivery diarrhea/soft poo for me. And the beyotch nurse forgot my scheduled pain meds even once I asked for them.

Speaking of poo. diarrhea all damn day. my daughter was actually going back to sleep this morning but I had to rush off to the toilet & cut her nursing off. By the time I came back she was awake :'(

  • Oh how I envy all you ladies having sex!!!!! We are banned until my 11week appt (October 15th) we haven't had sex since before the egg transfer so by the time my appt rolls around that'll be about 12 weeks sex free and I'm dying for an orgasim with all these CRAZY dreams!! Don't get me started on the constipation 2 more weeks of progesterone shoots and I'm hoping for a normal bowel movement that doesn't require 3 doeses of a stoll softener and me gripping the bathroom counter like I'm in labor just to get one little terd out. Last but not least my boobs have gone from a 34C to a 34 DD( and now that's getting to tight) in less than 3 weeks so my chest is killing me :( But I will happily go through all of this to have my 3 little miracles at the end. Were moms right we'll sacrifice anything for our children lol !

  • I was terrified to poop after I gave birth to DD... I had a difficult delivery with 6 hours of pushing (yes 6!) and tore in two places. But it was not bad at all and actually felt kinda good. I guess it's different for everyone.

TMI... I have been really gassy and sometimes when I try to push some out a little pee comes out instead ( thank you previous childbirth for that!)

I have decided not to mention any extra discharge to DH bc last pregnancy he never wanted to have sex and I'm pretty sure it's bc he was grossed out. Seems to be working so far :)

If you really want to know... after I had my daughter, I wasn't able to go to the bathroom for several days, and on my release day after my c-section, my nurse made me drink with prune juice and Sprite. I went to the bathroom and gave birth to an English cucumber (you know the really BIG ones with the plastic wrapping) out of my butt. It was very painful..

It's worse.  For 6 months after (6 months!!!!) it felt like my stitches/scar tissue where stitches were was going to rip open.  I cried real tears daily when I had to poop.
  • Oh, and my pregnancy nastiness is the never ending yeast infection.  I just finished a 7 day course and I still want to scratch my vag off.  It's a billion times better than it was in the beginning but still not cured.  And I don't know if it's pg related or not, but I just discovered a wart on my finger.  So nasty.  I haven't had a wart since I was 5.
  • Another csection momma here and my mom was visiting when I first had to poop (1week pp) and I asked her how to poop with no an muscles. I essentially just sat and waited for it to fall out. I held on to my incision just in case if it hurt but it wasn't the end of the world.

  • Does pregnancy itself increase risk of vaginal infection? Because this morning I was doing an "internal" check for spotting and it didn't smell so great. It kind of smelled like it could turn into BV at any time now...

Not sure about BV but pregnant women are more prone to yeast infections.

I'm also jealous of you ladies having all of the good sexy times. I find the uterine contractions really uncomfortable and they give me anxiety, plus my boobs really hurt so no sexy time for us even though I've been starting to want it more lately.

Amen! It's kind of a cruel joke that right before your period & during pregnancy your vag decides to do this, causing unnecessary trips to the bathroom to check.

  • I know! The discharge has gone up like a _____ (insert expletive of choice here). I am constantly wiping like crazy, terrified of seeing blood or spotting soon (because I could swear it feels like my period is coming- even at 8 weeks)!

My husband says we've gone through more toilet paper this month (from frequent urination and my compulsive wiping to rid myself of discharge) than we normally do in 2. So much so that he's going to start forcing me to just "air dry" or learn the "Shake" maneuver. Ha. Freaking. Ha.
