My twin boys entered the world on Sunday, September 29 @ 33 weeks 2 days. Below is a time line of my labor.

@ 11 am - go to L&D because of spotting 36 hours post cervical exam

@ 12:30 pm- while being monitored in L&D get strong urge to go pee, end up gushing liquid (pee and amniotic fluid) on the bed while waiting for nurses to unhook my monitors and allow me to go to bathroom. My water has broken. Admitted to L&D.

@ 2:30 pm - contractions pick up and become painful.

@ 6 pm - get an epidural (3 cm dilated at previous check around 4 pm)

@ 8:30 pm - epidural wears off, confused about feeling contractions again, think epidural may have been done wrong, turns out I am nearing the end if labor (9 cm dilated)

@ 10 pm - get in an operating room to deliver the twins

@ 11 pm - Baby A (5 lbs 8 oz) delivered vaginally after 40 ish minutes of pushing

@ 11:09 - Baby B (4 lbs 10 oz) delivered vaginally

Twins are in the nicu for the foreseeable future.

What is that tube on their nose? Is it to help them breathe since they came early?

I am feeling achy and sore. Getting better each day. It's amazing what the body is capable of.

The tube in their nose is a CPAC. It supports breathing. This morning when we visited them, they had their CPACs removed! Being carefully monitored to see if they can breathe on their own.
