Up until a few weeks ago, we gave my son a bath every single night. He had a bad rash which seemed to be agrivated by the bathing so I went to every other or skipped two days and just did a washcloth on the nights I didn't bathe him. Washcloth was to wipe his face and nose and any "spots" he had on his arms from dinner that I didn't get eariler. It was so nice not to have to bathe him every night! So now he's over the rash and I want to keep up the every other night or more routine. Was just curious what everyone else does for frequency at this age, and on nights with no bath, do you just do a washcloth or what?
Thanks:)
Re: how often are you bathing LO?
we've never had a problem with diaper rash ever.. we use pampers ..but we dont use wipes since he was about a week old. He gets wiped with a wash clothe and baby soap. He has been able to request a bath for months now and I swear he makes as much mess as possible during meals in the hopes he'll get a bath. As soon as he gets down .. all you here is bath bath bath... if he sees you taking your clothes off.. bath bath bath.. anytime you open the door to the bathroom he uses.. bath bath bath. My kid loves water .. baths , pool, puddles..he aint fussy lol

We bathe my daughter every couple of days. It is like bathing a gremlin. She gets upset and stands up in the bathtub, and there is drama.
We use the Mustela PhysiObebe no-rinse cleansing fluid to help clean our daughter, especially after some diaper changes.

My son did not like taking baths when he was younger, but he likes taking baths a lot better now. And he has fun.

my kid would try n call CPS if we didn't give him a bath or shower AT LEAST once a day lol .. once a week would have him packing a bag and moving in with grandma
He is 18 moths old and demands a bath after his dinner, if he sees you take clothes off, if you take his clothes off, if you open the bathroom door, if you fold towels out of the clean laundry .. pretty much anything remotely bath related and all you hear is BAT BAT BAT and he is running to the door and pulling his shirt up and pants down lol..it's been that way since he learnt to say bath.
It doesn't matter if he just got out and dried and dressed..if you attempt to enter the bathroom he will still ask for a bath

Lost my dear husband, October 3, 2012. You are the bear of my heart dear, and nothing can take that away.
It's actually necessary for ours - DD's eczema flares up if she doesn't have a nightly bath - but for most kids, a couple times a week is totally fine.
