All last week and weekend I've reminded him of todays prenatal appointment. I've had is many complications it would be nice for him to come to a few! But alas, he stayed up until 3 am watching the walking deAd on netflix. I woke him up saying we need to leave in 20 and I get a grumble.. I sat on the bed that whole 20 with nothing so I get up and walk out and said I'm leaving. Ughh!!! I know it could be worse but I was really happy he was coming and purposely make my appointments on Mondays because he's off... I'm just bummed

I'd be super miffed, too. That's middle schooler behavior. I'm glad you just left him there, though -- instead of dragging him with you. I would think that would make him feel even more jerkier - at least, I think my DH would.

I'd be mad to if he committed to go and flaked out like that.

I would have been making so much noise while getting ready that he wouldn't have been able to sleep though it.

I would definitely be mad too... give him the cold shoulder then talk to him to tonight asking him to rearrange his priorities because juvenile behaviors like that are unacceptable

I would be livid.

When you come back, wake him up, tell him you are incredibly disappointed in him and his commitment to you and your baby. Ask him what he plans on doing to fix it.

That's inexcusable in my opinion. My DH is like a teenager too when it comes to being woken up. It takes a lot if effort on my part to wake him up everyday. I have to either flick the lights on and off or rip the covers off or call his phone repeatedly from the other room. So annoying. This is just a day to day thing though. Missing an appointment that he told you he's go to is a whole other ball game.

Definitely warrants a serious discussion.

You have every right to be upset. If you two planned that he would be joining you for this appointment then he needed to man up and drag his butt there. Staying up too late watching tv...ugh, I'm mad for you!

Wow. We all stay up too late sometimes doing pointless things, but, the rest of the adult world gets up the next morning and deals with being tired! Man, your DH would have hell to pay from me! So sorry!!

Yeah I would've made his morning sleep in session hell. I would've gotten ready with some beautifully loud music or maybe a loud tv show. I would have blow dried my hair in the bedroom for a change of scenery. And I certainly would have found a few seconds to vacuum the carpet of the bedroom or perhaps hang a picture or two.

Staying up late to watch TV is never an excuse to miss one of your appointments. My DH would love to come to my appointments, but he has to work. That was a douche move and he better make it up to you.

Sorry you are dealing this on what should be a great day!

I would basically tell him that this is his baby too and he should be at every appointment if you make them on his day off. No questions. You should have to get him to commit to going if he is off of work. This is his baby too, he needs to step up and take responsibility now.

Thanks ladies! I came home after and took a quick nap before working until 10pm tonight.. He def got the cold shoulder and he knows my feelings are hurt. I put my next two appointments in BIG writing on the marker board so he sees them the next 4 weeks!! (My others were there too..)

Who does he think he is?! That is the most pathetic behavior I have ever heard of. It's his BABY! Just b/c you are carrying the baby doesn't mean he doesn't have responsibilities to you and to his child.
