So I had my daughters two month well check and they gave her the first dose of shots and it seemed like a lot to me. She did well she cried at first but no fever or anything. Well now I feel bad like I made the wrong decision in letting them vaccinate her. I am sooooo freaking paranoid over the vaccinations harming her in some way. How do you ladies not let it make you crazy? And if anyone knows of any good studies I can read please let me know. Anything to easy my mind.
Re: Paranoid over vaccinations
BUT we then went for a walk the other day and wandered into an old cemetery in our town. (I'm weird and think cemeteries are peaceful and find reading the stones super interesting.) Old like - 1800's. Anyway there were so many little ones there- one stone showed the mother and father then listed their 4 babies names (all if whom were under 2) that were buried there as well. I had quite the perspective check and once again was reminded how very lucky we are to live now and have all these vaccines. I don't know how people survived losing so many babies back then.
I'm rambling but the point is that by getting vaccines we are protecting our little ones which I'm sure they wish they could have done 100 years ago. Also all the evidence about vaccines show that they 100% save lives.
It sounds alarmist, but there are still children in this world that don't have the luxury of readily available vaccines. They die of preventable diseases every day.
