xp from paif: placenta previa question

Hey ladies. I ended up in the er last night because I was bleeding. The ob thought it was the sch but we also found out baby a's placenta is slightly overlying my cervix. I got rhogam because we dont know if the bleeding is sch or the previa. My question is, for those of you that had a marginal previa, did it migrate away from the cervix and if so, around what week? Also, until it migrated, did you bleed the whole time? I'm 12w1d today. Cervix is closed & 4cm with light bleeding. Thanks!

  • I spotted on and off (mostly if I was on my feet or doing activities that day) until week 14/15. At my 16 and 18 week ultrasound it was noticeable that it was moving up and out of the way by week 19/20 it was out of the way completely. However mine was really just spotting not much in the way of actual bleeding I did have a few times that it bled but that only happened twice. Have they suggested lower activity levels and resting as much as possible until it is out of the way?

  • I didn't bleed at all with mine but mine was just at the edge of my cervix. I think it had moved by 28 weeks.

  • I didn't have that but my BFF did. Hers didn't fully move out of the way until late - like a few weeks before she delivered. GL!
