Baby shower woes

I am having 3 showers. One hosted on the 12th, one on the 19th and one the 26th. I received a invite for the one on the 12th two weeks ago. I reviewed a invite for the one on the 26 last week. I checked with my friend who is hosting my shower for the 19th when she plans to send out the invites and she said sometime next week. I'm just worried with people's schedules filling up next week isn't going to be enough time. I have had between 10-13 people ask about the shower and some even offer to host. I'm debating sending out a text message just letting people to know to leave the date open. Thoughts?

    Tell the person that's hosting what you just told us. She should get the hint that people want to come, but need to know the details...Good Luck!

    I hear ya-my friend who is hosting mine on the 26th as well just sent the invites at the end if this past week. I asked her brother to ask her lol-She is a single mom and I didn't want to press too much...but yeah. ;)

    I had a similar issue. I simply let people know on my own - lots of people already had commitments - very annoying, but it is what it is.

    @Heaven802002 I can't GIF either! I'm always on my Bump app and even though @Northport6 posted a link to a tutorial it just doesn't work for me. I'm a forum dummy lol :-/

    @sehart3478 ...I am speechless. And sorry what should have been a community of women may just end up as quality time with grandma, but hopefully that will be fun too! <3

    I don't think this was meant to be funny but I can't help but laugh. I'd be so pissed though.
    This was me trying to have a sense of humor about the whole thing. Like, hay guise, I'm a friendless loser but my Oma will make us some sandwiches and we can play shower games! You know you're jealous!

    OP, you could always just give people the info when they ask.  Or you could tell the host that people have been asking, & see what she would think about sending out a text just as a "save-the-date" kinda thing.

    With chronic fatigue, I have no social life, so I have no friends that are close enough to want to throw me a shower. If it weren't for my family I might not have one at all! MIL has mentioned being excited to throw me one, but I have a feeling she is going to wait until the last minute also lol because that's how she is. DH and I have not heard any actual plans yet so we'll see. Id totes come for you girls, but I'm sure you live nowhere near me.

    I'm from Minnesota so my moms cousins are throwing that shower. My husband is from Wisconsin so my sils are throwing that one. And I currently live in Iowa so a friend is throwing one for my work and town friends.

    She had an affair with a sex offender, forcing bil and their 4 kids lived with us for 6 months, to keep the kids away from that guy.... that relationship didnt work out so shes back.. among other things ...
    Wow! not what I was expecting.  Yeah she def wouldn't be invited to mine.
