Thank you so much for your advice, your thoughts and your prayers. They have been such a help.

LO has been admitted to the hospital and is currently receiving a round of fluids intravenously after having his blood drawn and catheterization for a urine sample, which was found to have a high number of ketones. The primary diagnosis is dehydration due to gastroenteritis. The plan as of now is to rehydrate, wait, and then try feeding orally. Hopefully we will be able to take him home later today....

I'm really glad that you and the drs at the hospital know what is wrong so he can get the care he needs! Hope he recovers quickly and you can go home today!

I hope everything turns out ok and I would file a complaint with the medical board about that crap doctor who apparently doesn't know the first thing about colic OR what was wrong with your baby.
