First ultrasound... Twins!

Went yesterday for my first sonogram and found out I was further along than we thought, I'm now 14 weeks so out of the first trimester... but even bigger news was that I'm having twins!! I'm still in shock. Kept waking up last night and thinking "this is real"
I am so happy and I think my husband took the news really well :)

    Congrats!

    Married: 5/09 ~ TTC Since: 10/10 ~ PCOS ~ Progesterone from 10/10 - 2/11 ~ HSG on 3/18 - Clear ~ Started Metformin 1000mg & Clomid 50mg 2/11 ~ Metformin upped to 1500mg 4/6 ~ 6/7 Now going to SG and put on Clomid, Ovidrel, Gonal F, Prometrium, Estrace ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP!!!!!! March 6th our little man was born. 

    6/17/13 - Ovidrel, Follistim, Prometrium ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP! March 17th our St. Pattys day baby arrived

    10/29/17 - Started process for IVF, got pregnant & miscarried a 2nd time since summer. 2/22 started stims - Menopur, Gonal F, Cetrotide - retrieval 3/6 - , PIO, estrace 3xday - FET 4/18 = Beta 1: 616; Beta 2: 1342 = BFP

    How that works? Your first sonogram at 14 weeks??? Im having sonograms since my first visit at 5 weeks... :-S

    Well from what I've read on here all doctors are different, 5 weeks seems pretty early actually. Some people have posted their doctors don't really do sonos at all unless they are high risk. Maybe it depends on the individual doctor/insurance. Not really sure.
    I thought I was only 10 weeks & my doctor doesn't do them earlier than that, 8 weeks the earliest, Unless you are high risk.
    Anyway, when I went I found out I was a little further along and he said 14 weeks. And there were two babies :)

    Here at PR usually all doctors have the sonogram machine at their offices and every time you have an appointment, they check everything: heartbeat, fetus development, etc. i had one week ago (11 weeks) and I saw my baby moving!! He/she was moving the legs like running a bike and then turn in his/her back! It was awesome. And i have pictures since the day one, including my first sonogram with super zoom when it looks like a dot.

    Congratulations!!!!!  I had my first ultrasound on Monday and was HOPING for twins, but no such luck, lol.  What a blessing!

    Congrats, I always wanted to have twins but I will be having a baby girl :) 21 weeks now.
    I had my first u/s at 8 weeks just to find out how far I was because I wasnt sure of my last menstrual period. I hope its a girl and a boy.
