Success with Clomid and HCG Shot?

I took Clomid (50 mg) on CD 5-9. I had my follicle check on 9/20/13 and it showed 3 follicles and no cysts (I have PCOS). I've been on 2000mg of Metformin regularly for 4 months and my periods have finally regulated and I ovulated! I received a HCG Trigger Shot on CD 15 and we used preseed (Dr said to try - we've tried before w/o luck). I've been cramping since 3 DPO and I'm still cramping off and on. Has anyone else had any luck with the Clomid and HCG shot? My dr wants me to take a test next Friday (10/4).

    Good luck! Unfortunately, Clomid didn't do the trick for me but I have a different diagnosis than you. I hope it works!
    Me 36/DH 46 Me: Low AMH (.21) DOR, mild endo; Started seeing RE 11/12
    Jan-March '13 3 IUIs Clomid + Trigger = BFN
    April '13 IVF 1 MDLF converted to 4th IUI due to 3 runaway follicles! BFN
    July/Aug '13 IVF 1.2 Long Lupron = 7R, 6F, 2T= BFP!!!
    Beta 1=512, Beta 2=1,368 Beta 3= 4,128

    Unfortunately, no, Clomid and trigger didn't work for me either, but hope that's all it takes for you! GL!

    Worked for me on the 4th (and final) cycle combined with iui. Ended up doing a total of 7.

    Me: 33, DH: 39   Unexplained Infertility

    4 IUIs (chlomid) in 2013 which resulted in DS born in April 2014

    TTC #2 since August 2015

    5 rounds of IUIs (1 chlomid: resistent, 1 femara, 3 gonal f) = all BFN

    ER March 9: 26 eggs retrieved, 19 mature and 17 fertilized, 8 made it to genetic testing, 4 normal!

    FET #1 5/31 = BFN

    FET#2 7/26 = BFP!

    I had success with femara. My RE recommended that over clomid. The HCG shot did the trick in combo with femara. Good luck!!!
    Officially started TTC January 2012
    Dx with PCOS November 2012
    2/2013 - First round of Femara - No O
    Took 2 months to get vaccinated from the chickenpox
    5/2013 - Second round Femara - No O
    6/2013 - Third round of Femara + HCG Trigger Shot = O!
    7/18/2013 - Found out I was pregnant
    Dx with Gestational Diabetes at 28 weeks
    Dx with Macrosomia at 33 weeks
    Taking Glyburide and Metformin to control GD
    Due date is March 29th but we are moving forward with a scheduled C-Section on March 25th

    I had success with 50mg clomid and Ovidrel trigger shot on our second try. The first month we didn't have success. 

    DX PCOS June 2011, SA: low volume and concentration, 2% morph
    June 2011 Clomid 50 mg + metformin 500 mg = BFN
    August 2011 Clomid 100mg + metformin 500 mg = BFN
    October 2011 Clomid 100mg + metformin 500 mg = no response
    January 2012- Clomid 150mg + metforming 750 mg ER + trigger + IUI #1 = Cancelled due to poor response. 
    February 2012 - cancelled due to finaances
    April 2012 - Jumped ship to a new RE 
    May 2012 - New round of testing
    June 2012 - starting supplements, saving for IVF
    June 2013 - ready to start IVF, one more SA - all clear! Dr. Suggest starting with 50mg Clomid and Ovidrel instead. Have to resolve thryoid issues first. 
    August 2013 - 50 mg. Clomid + Ovidrel = BFN
    September 2013 - 50 mg Clomid + Ovidrel = BFP on Oct. 7th!
    10.8.13 = 1st Beta 199
    10.10.13 = 2nd Beta 502
    10.14.13 = 3rd Beta 3,998
    11.4.13 = 1 little bean measuring right on track with a heartbeat of 174!
    12.2.13 = Genetic testing normal, It's a BOY!
    6.10.14 Our sweet baby boy is born at 1:43 pm - 8lbs, 8oz, 21" long
