Please don't feel like you have to explain how often you post in order to receive T&P. I know this board can be tough on lurkers but I don't want anyone to feel like they can't ask for T&P just because they mainly lurk.

My DH is a fireman/paramedic too. Could he leave the station to be with you and your LO?
Update: Were on our way home. Praise The Lord! We're just monitoring him very closely. Looking for abnormal behavior/seizures/swelling/vomitting. Have several neuro follow up appointments and we have to take a daily measurement of his head circumference. But they cleared us to go home, so in my heart I'm convincing myself that it's a very good thing!
But basically, I'll be a worry wort for a few weeks. But it's ok. I'm just glad to be home!
May I ask how they were able to flip off the swing? I only ask because I have a porch swing as well that I sit on with my son on occasionally and would like to know how something like that is able to happen. It is a bench swing? (thats what I have).
Hopefully your LO will be back to himself soon, I know that would make me feel better.

We just have a regular swing. New, actually. And it was professionally installed per manufacturer recommendations. In my opinion, the locations that the support chains attach to the swing don't allow for enough stability. It's hard for me explain (bare with me!), but it attaches to the swing at two points, but then the two chains come together and one chain attaches to the ceiling, allowing you to swing. However, the length from where the two chains meets the one chain is far too short and allows the swing to tip too easily if you lean too far backwards or forwards and your feet aren't touching the ground. Again, total freak accident. But I guess you can't be too careful! I tried to snap some pictures so you can all see.

You need to get ahold of the manufacturer of the swing. That is too dangerous and I think the product should be recalled.
