Hi, Ladies..
I'm more of a lurker. I've gone through periods of time where I post more regularly than others, but I come here daily if for nothing else that I feel like I can relate to so many of the discussions going on. Just pleading for some T&P tonight because I know that no one else can relate to the worry a mother endures when something is going on with our LOs. Also, I apologize in advance for any weird formats, etc. I'm on mobile and running on fumes myself.
We are at the hospital over night after a horrible incident/scare tonight. My sister was holding LO on our porch swing and she flipped backwards in it. They both hit the concrete floor. Baby had a huge knot on his head and although he cried immediately, I could tell something was off. He was lethargic and already had two swollen lesions. I immediately went into crazy mom mode. I tried not to panic, but called 911 immediately. My husband just returned for his first shift back at work and wasn't home. (Fireman/Paramedic) Luckily we have an amazing Children's hospital close. After several hours, ultra sounds, a CT scan and three consults from general/radiology/neuro, they determined LO has a skull fracture, but no serious brain bleed. They did see a small amount of blood, but they think it's between his skull and the skin (like a bad bruise) and they've admitted us for observation. Thoughts and prayers would be GREATLY appreciated. This is one worried momma. I'm sure there won't be much sleeping tonight, if any..
