  • I really cannot stand bad grammar or people who misspell things, especially in a professional setting such as work or school. I had to request my transcripts from the university I went to, and emailed a question about it...and the guy who responded obviously had the complete incapability of making any type of sensible communication with another human being. I had to reply back with his misspellings and improper grammar highlighted and bolded, along with the "did they not check your credentials before hiring you to represent the student records department?" question.
I think that makes the school look absolutely ridiculous. This makes me want to put in some Hillbilly teeth, put on a pair of overalls and say "I already done replayed to that".

I can't wait for my SO to go to Canada on his moose hunting trip. He leaves Friday and I'm lliterally counting down the days.

While he's gone... I'm not going to do jack shit. No cooking, cleaning, packing lunches, etc. I'm just going to chill with my baby the whole time he's gone :)

I'm also going on a shopping spree.

My husband goes bear hunting every year. November can't come soon enough!

Sometimes I think DH loves LO more than me. Sometimes I think I might love her more than I love him.

In some ways, I think it's like apples and oranges. But if I was pushed to choose one over the other in some sort of circumstance, I would choose LO and I hope DH would do the same.
Did anyone watch The Impossible, about the tsunami in Thailand? The dad left the 2 small boys, I think 5 and 8 yo, with strangers and not really knowing where they were going, to go find his wife. When that scene played, I looked at my dh and told him that if he ever did that he would have to pray not to find me. 'Cause I'd kill him.
  • Also, I hate football season and I'm happy DH doesn't like it either. I don't know what I would do if he sat around all day Saturday and Sunday watching it.

I totally agree. My ex was so into football it was all he did most of the weekend. DH dislikes it so I'm thrilled!

Oh my gosh! That movie... did you see the part where the mom turns around and they pan in on her calf? I almost puked.

Thanks! Gymboree!!!! I really needed to get out, and went on a shopping spree for my little guy. By the time I reached the store, I had overspent my budget..but I HAD to have that hat.. :)

My mom thinks it's terrible if I only take LO for a walk in the afternoon/evening (usually we go to the park with her around 4:30 and stay till 6:30) and wants me to take her out in the late morning also. I don't feel like walking with her in the morning also so I lie to my mom on days I don't take LO for a walk in the morning. I feel bad lying but I'm tired and I think LO will be just fine with only a couple hours of fresh air.
Why is it your mothers business when and how often you take your child on a walk? It's your child. I'm side eyeing your mom for being all up in your business about that.

I sometimes screen my calls from my best friend, who is childless and my mom because I cant deal with the me, me, me conversations. This isnt a competition, mom to see who is most tired or how your life is more stressful than mine. Plus every time I talk to her she wants md to leavecthd baby with her.......I dont need you to help with the baby, offer to help with the older 2, that would be helping. And my best friend whom I love dearly,  I am sorry but we are on a very strict budget right now and I just cant find sympathy if you can't afford that hundred dollar pair of boots.......

Generally I just want to be left alone by those not in my immediate family......
@Karen0477 I did this after DD1 and my friends eventually slowed the phone calls and went on without me. After the first year, I was ready to talk and hang out with them again but they were used to doing things without me. So they kept "forgetting" to include me on outings. I vowed not to push friends away this time. When I'm ready to have adult interaction, I want my friends to be there. Just giving you something to consider...

I don't think so. Some people just luck out and have chill kids.
True story. DD is sleeping worse than DS lately. He is considerably easy as an infant compared to her.

  • I told my husband last night I was never having sex again because this baby is so f'ing difficult. If I get pregnant again I will die.
@emandia This is how I felt after DS. He was beyond high maintenance. Colic, acid reflux, allergic colitis, torticollis issue after issue. He was the worlds worst sleeper. He was always fussing. I was a mess. Even after he became this happy kid, I still was like I AM NEVER HAVING MORE CHILDREN. We obviously changed our mind. DD is the complete opposite. Laid back, so happy and smiley, sleeps much better (still up 1-3 times a night but DS was up 6-8 until he was one), just in general a more relaxed baby. Sending you hugs and a glass of wine. The first few months after DS was born were the hardest months of my life.
Thank you.....I need to hear that!  My friends all have happy babies so it makes it even harder.  I will take that glass of wine. :)
  • I am absolutely terrified that I am pregnant again. We want another one but definitely not planning on it being so soon! I have very little to back up this feeling and should just shell out the $$ to get a damn pregnancy test already. My main reasons for thinking I'm preggo are bc I cried at the series finale of Dexter (i mean seriously DEXTER!!) and when i was breading chicken the other day I could smell the breadcrumbs from a mile away. Yes I know i'm probably overreacting but I'm on the mini-pill and am wondering how effective that 92-96% really is!

I've made chicken fried rice at least once a week for dinner for the past month. It's easy and tastes good and I keep all the ingredients on hand. I'm planning on making it again tonight.

I used to make interesting, detailed meals at least 4-5 times a week, but since I got pregnant, that just doesn't happen anymore. I despise grocery shopping, especially with a toddler and a newborn. I'd rather just get the same stuff and make the same simple meals over and over again.
We have had a lot of taco nights :)

This is us. Also, I just chop up the avocado bc I'm too lazy to make guac. On the plus side, chopped avocado is delicious in tacos and Tom-Baby loves it!

I will confess I love football season and watch it all weekend long. I can tell you more things about the Tennessee volunteers recruiting and the Buffalo Bills then most guys I know. I also LOVE hockey but don't follow all the news as much. Live sports are fun for me to watch because you never know what's going to happen. I actually met DH, who is also a huge sports fan, as I was flexing my football knowledge. He always says he was impressed because I could actually talk real football, not the way a lot of girls "talk football" but don't really know what they are talking about. We were both good athletes so we both hope we passed some of those genes on!

@meimsx totally agree. we are staying with my parents for a couple weeks and usually she takes E out for a walk in the morning. But when she's busy she wants me to. She takes fantastic care of E so i'Il take the occasional nag but then I just lie.

DH keeps wanting to buy me an eighth but I feel bad about smoking now. I'm not breast feeding anymore and I'm not going to get a job anytime soon so I guess I could out on the balcony but now I feel responsible and parentlike. It would REALLY help with my stress and anxiety. It was my med of choice pre-pregnancy..still on the fence about it. So hard to resist!

  • A woman came up to me at Oktoberfest this weekend to tell me DD was the prettiest baby she and her husband had ever seen. I looked over to where he was sitting (in all his waxed, handlebar moustachioed glory) and saw they had an elementary aged son. I was shocked because I think DS2 is the best looking of my children.

Supposedly a bottle of wine fits in a venti size cup from Starbucks.
I may be making a fool of myself, but I believe that's what it is.

This. I *DO NOT* want another child. I have two and some days I feel like I may go insane. I think I would literally cry for a full week if I ever get pregnant again. It was hard to have a successful pregnancy after DD but I am happy I have DS and am done.

This - we were worried too but DD#2 is even better than DD#1 was!

    So far anyway.
  • @Alicia0817 I hope it gets easier for you soon!
