@hfooter - I totally love that you have a NSDTR! My parents have one (I consider him to still be my baby) and I have maybe encountered a total of 5 people who have/know an owner of a toller.
My parent's NSDTR - Chester
Jasmine - Our Pyrenees Lab that thinks shes a lapdog
We also have 2 feline fur-babies that do not like having their photo taken.
This is Devi. She is a lab/boxer mix we rescued as a puppy. My husband and I are nervous for when the baby comes because she has been #1 for the past 3 1/2 years.
I love all my furbabies and would probably have more if my husband would let me
Thistle is on the left, she is my 2 year old Bengal mix snugglebug and Louie is a 6 year old Siamese mix, technically a snowshoe. I got Louie when I was in college when he was just 6 months, he is my baby
This is Rusty, we got him from the shelter this year, he is a 4 year old Brittany. He is such a good boy and a perfect fit for our family
And this is our loveable feathered pain in the butt Moya. He was supposed to be DH's bird but unfortunately over the course of puberty he decided he liked me better. Now he tolerates DH and adores me. I love him to pieces though.
@Soupy84 It took us a year to compromise on a dog! I wanted something large and longer haired and my DH wanted something medium sized and short haired. So a NSDTR was a good compromise He is an awesome dog and LOVES to snuggle.
@hfooter - They really are a fantastic breed and are a great family dog. Ours isnt much of a hunting dog (he never learned to gently retrieve a downed bird) and he hates the water (which is unusual for a water-dog). Hopefully the "Toller Howl" wont keep your little one up once s/he arrives!
@soupy84 yes they are! Our breeder breads them for show or hunting. The only reason why we got him was because he does not have the personality for either! He is skiddish with other humans until he gets to know you. And luckily he doesn't use his voice much! The the toller scream was one of the things I was worried about lol, it is such an annoying/strange sound! It's cool to see someone else on here with one! Vets always love when I bring him around because they don't get to see many!
This is my baby boy Tyson! On the left is when he was a puppy and the right is more recent. Not sure what he is because we adopted him from an SPCA. I love him to death but currently he is farting up a storm and it makes this mommy want to throw up hahaha
