My family is large so they start asking for lists earlier and earlier every year. I love getting suggestions from other people's lists.
So far, I want to get my DD a Highlights Hello magazine subscription, a portable DVD player for the travel we do (though everyone says I should get an iPad mini instead), books, arts and crafts, and a doll baby.
What's on your list for LO?
Re: What's on your LO's Christmas/holiday list? (or what do you plan to buy?)
:P :P
DD'S realistic list so far: arts and crafts kits/supplies, board games, gymnastics lessons, Rapunzel doll.....
DS: no idea, maybe a car playmat because he is really into cars lately, swim lessons....
I have some ideas for DS1, I know he wants a CD player like his sister, and he's been talking a lot lately about hex bugs and skylanders. I'll get them both a few CDs and Lego. SD is a fashionista in training, so I'll probably get her a nice pair of winter boots, clothes and accessories, and probably some jewelry making kits. She doesn't really play anymore, other than building with Lego. She's hard to shop for.
That's what I want LOs grandparents to do. The ILs side goes out of control and I don't want it to be expected. Plus I don't want a ton of crap around.
For DD: jewelry music box, baby doll accessories, name puzzle, a few stuffed Disney princess.
For both: wiggle cars, play kitchen, food and accessories
For nephew: no idea yet. He has everything and is hard to please.
I keep a gift closet of things on sale throughout the uear so I have several of the above and will add things before Christmas. I love Christmas shopping!
So far all I know is Lego Duplo sets. I will also look at anything he can use his imagination with because he is getting so good at playing pretend now. He keeps asking for a "Paw Patrol" toy, it's a show he loves, but I think it's new and I don't think there are toys for it.
DD is hard because so many of the things that are great for 1 year olds we already have because DS got them for his first birthday/Christmas. For one, I might try to get her a few "girly" things (I know I know, but we have 800 gender neutral/"boyish" things in the house already).
DD (5 years old) from IUI in 2012
TTC 3rd and final!: IUI #1 in progress!
We am getting him a city map rug and little wooden people and cars to "drive" around on it.
I have no idea what to ask other people for though. It seems like he has everything he could need right now.
Character sleeping bag
Toy Story DVDs
Madagascar DVDs
Little Mermaid DVD (releasing in Oct)
Art supplies (glitter glue, paper, paint, ect)
Puzzles (~48 pieces)
And we always do new PJs, socks and underwear.
DD2: Lucia (Lucy) 07/13
I've already done my shopping. I spread it out. Nate has a bday on the 9th, so this is a split bday/xmas list: sit n spin, train set, puzzles, watercolor book, memory game, Thomas carrying case for the trains, pjs Caleb has a bday in Feb: so far I have a pelican that swallows stuffed fish (Melissa and Doug thing) and a stuffed hungry caterpillar and pjs. Honestly, I'll probably just wrap some of the 1 yr old toys we already have in storage for him...
ETA: I missed the extended family part. I have 4 nieces who are 8, 9, 10 yrs that got bracelets that looked very pre-teeny. The younger niece is 4 and I haven't found something for her yet. My nephew is 6 and he got a board game.
Dd2 - Little People zoo, wooden block set, Stella first doll baby, some kind of stroller for doll to practice walking with, not sure what else.
Both - Melissa and Doug grocery stand, play food, possibly shopping cart
Leah: is reading so much. I am planning on adding quite a bit to her library. She could use a new bike, so that might be a good idea.
Logan: is getting a balance bike
Eryn: we will have to see. Right now, I am thinking a play kitchen.
Roo: I don't know.
We are taking the kids to Colorado the week after Christmas. I have just ordered snow suits for everyone (oh the joys of getting the kids to try them on, while in Florida!!)
They always get:
New pajamas
A new outfit
A big item that they want
A stocking. It has small accessories (socks, underwear) I am planning on getting the bigger three accessories for their I-Pads
We are all traveling to Colorado for an after Christmas holiday and have decided not to do gifts between my family. We are going to enjoy the company and have fun on the mountains.
