  • I watch it too. Guilty pleasure lol!

  • I noticed that from the first episode, Alex had her baby facing forward too.  I cannot imagine how at their ages they would even know what to do with these babies, so nothing on the show surprises me anymore.

  • My child is 15 months and turned forward facing. However, I feel that her seat being rear facing in the car we have is very dangerous. There is no way to make the seat secure (ie it wobbles and moves A LOT) when rear facing just because of the way our car is shaped and etc. I would much rather have it PROPERLY installed front facing that incorrectly installed backwards. You never know why people are doing something that you are not doing. Judging is never the answer. Just educating.
  • Never seen the show...But I agree with previous poster. You may not know why someone is doing something.

DH and I completely agree that our DD should be rear facing until at least 2 whenever possible. In fact because she is small she will most likely be rear facing on a regular basis well past 2.

However, we took my parents car and went car seat shopping this past weekend (they watch DD full-time while we work so we needed to purchase them a convertible seat)....There wasn't a single convertible car seat available that will allow my husband (6'3") to drive their car with a convertible car seat rear facing. If we owned this car and DH needed to drive DD somewhere it would have to be in the forward facing position. luckily, with my parents driving she can still be rear facing.

Also, we recently visited my brother and we needed to fit 4adults and the car seat in his sedan. Both my brother and husband are tall guys, I am not short. DD's car seat was installed forward facing for that trip so that we could get everyone in the vehicle.

It is ideal to keep babies and toddlers rear facing, but in some situations it is just not possible.

  • Wasn't there a post about this a couple years ago? A poster said she knew somebody who worked for the show and they would do things to get people talking? IE the kids being rear facing all the time except for a scene where they would turn it around. I'm trying to search for it but I'm getting a lot of dead links to old threads.

She's a complete moron so I'm not surprised at all. Teen Mom 3 is a real shit show!
This.  These teen mom shows are my guilty pleasure to watch, and every season everyone has their problems, but this one, wow.    My heart breaks for the kids during some of these fights.

  • I noticed Alex's baby facing forward as well. Unfortunately, their car seat safety is probably the least of their concern. I feel so sorry for these babies! Also, I have to wonder why in the hell these girls sleep with these dumbasses. Grosses me out.
