I think there are lots of people that don't want to find out. DH and I are finding out because we have a medical issue that will affect the baby more if it's a girl, so we are finding out so I can get treated properly.
Even if there wasn't a health issue involved, I would still probably find out. Because...why not? We don't feel passionately about surprises or avoiding gender specific things, so we would probably find out anyway.

Had our first baby, Samuel Robert, on April 17, 2014!
We wanted to find out because I'm a planner and want to do a nursery while I'm pregnant to keep me occupied. I'm not a huge fan of nuetral nurseries so that's basically why. Plus I'll have a RCS most likely and for some reason I feel like it won't seem as special finding out that way. I am sure it will for others but it's just not for me.
We both want to find out. For some odd reason we're both convinced that it's a boy and we wanna if we're right sooner than later. My bf is going to find out at the anatomy scan but I won't find out until the shower my sisters are throwing
There was a whole thread on this yesterday! The board seems fairly split, there's a lot more ladies who are not finding out then I would have expected!
I think there are posts about find out/not finding out every day. There is also a Team Green check in once a week. I just can't remember what day its on.
~Missed MC at 8 weeks. D&C at 12 weeks on 4/17/13~
We want to find out because this is our first, possibly only, and I just want to be ready! It maybe selfish, but I want to have all the cute clothes for him or her, nursery decorations (which will probably be gender neutral anyway...) and just general preparedness!
Why do my boobs look so good? Then I peed on a stick...
Omg I couldn't handle not knowing!!! Plus I love being able to shop for pink or blue and it's so much easier to pick a name. (Just my personal opinion) plus I'm so excited I just can't wait much longer and I already have 6 weeks to wait!!! Should be 10 but were paying to find out early
DH is a physician and has attended many births. The most memorable and exciting ones were when the parents didn't know the gender. Considering it can be one of life's only true surprises, we let it be just that.
We are going to find out just because we are too impatient to wait. It's our first so we don't really care which it is. However, when we find out we won't be telling anyone else. We have already decided to stick to gender neutral things so we won't have to go out and buy news things with the next baby. So no one needs to know before the shower.
I'm finding out because either way it is a surprise to me but just an earlier one. I also cannot stand green or yellow. Nursery will probably be browns and tans either way..

We're finding out. I like to be prepared and I don't want a bunch of unisex clothing. Also, buying dresses for girls and boy stuff for boys once they're born in exhausting and usually the last thing you want to do. With K, I found that I really didn't start prepping his room or preparing until we got that, "It's a boy!" for the u/s tech.

My bf and I are going to find out, but keep it to ourselves. We both don't like gender-specific items so everyone wont find out until after the delivery.
