Pets and Sex

Now that I've got your attention....do you shut your pets out of your room when you have sex, or just let them jump on the bed and wander around at will?

Wondering what others do.  Tonight our cat jumped up right in the middle and starting purring next to us.  We knocked him off and he came back up so we left him there.  He seemed strangely happy to be up there!  As soon as we were done he left, which was pretty hilarious.

Any funny pet and sex stories?  There have to be some out there!

  • As long as the dog's not in the way I let him be.  Now when he starts licking me...he's got to go.

  • We have to lock our dog out of the room because she is really protective of me, and were pretty sure she thinks DH is hurting me. She sits at the edge of the bed and cries for me and if it gets too intense she barks at DH. It's awful. Haha! DH and I play fight a lot (we are weirdos) and she always goes after him to protect me. It's adorable. Except when were doing the horizontal tango.

LOL!!  =))   At first, we put the dog in her bed that is in our bedroom.  She usually knows to stay there until we call her up in bed.  However, the last couple of times she got out her bed and sat next to the our bed until we were done.  It was weird to see her stare at us so now we just close the door and she whines a little.

  • The cats are never allowed in our room. The dog is another story. She frequently sits on the corner & stares at us. She gets kicked off when she starts to hump H's leg, lol. We lock her out once in a while, but she sits at the door & cries which is horribly distracting.

  • Our cat rarely ventures into our room. The living areas are his domain. Our dog sleeps in our room, but in her crate. When we're in our room she is usually either in the crate or in her doggy bed. She knows not to jump up on furniture unless we call her so no funny stories about her jumping into the middle of one of our sexcapades. I think she has been on our bed maybe once since we moved in in June.

There was this one time, we were getting busy and suddenly we glanced over and she was standing by the side of the bed just looking at us. She was sick at the time so she just wanted attention and to be petted haha.

  • My cats sleep on our bed at night, we let them be when we have sex. They don't like the bed moving anyways so they tend to clear out. The few times my older cat doesn't and I realized she sat there and watched the whole time I get a little creeped out haha.

  • I would prefer our two cats not to be in the room, but they get back on the bed right away after pushing them off. DH says our one cat plays with his feet. He never tells me though after we're done. Sometimes, I wonder if he likes it?? :-$

  • The cat really doesn't care, if he's in our room he's sleeping on the stool to my vanity, so it doesn't really matter. One of our dogs (Archie the cojack) likes to hang out under the bed, and it can be more trouble than it's worth to go after him, so a lot of times I'll leave him under there and he won't come out. Aggie (our Cavalier) will get on the bed if she's allowed in the room, so she gets shut out. If H has his way we put them all out, but as long as no one gets on the bed I'm cool

The other night, dh and I did it on the living room floor. One of our cats parked himself right on top of our coffee table, about a foot away from us, and just watched. Dh and I were really distracted...so we didn't notice til we were done. I cracked up!

We usually put the dog in the crate in the other room.. unless something spontaneous happens, then he'll lay in his bed and just look traumatized...

  • At first, we tried to let the dogs stay in the bedroom.  But then there was an unfortunate licking incident with one of the dogs and DH's backside.  Since then, we have been putting them in their crates, which are on the other side of the house.  One time we tried to just leave them out in the living room and they ate all our throw pillows (and the pillow covers I made - my first sewing project ever!) so they go in the crates now until we are done.  ;)
  • Our older cats do not bother us but our one year old calico is a terror. She tends to get into whatever trouble she can while we DTD. Last night I threw things at her three times in an attempt to get her to stop scratching the bed skirt, or shredding a plastic bag she found. DH calls her the official boner killer because we get so sick of her behavior. If we lock them out, one of the other ones will scratch at the door. Ugh.
  • Both my dogs follow us in all the time-the big one might just lay on her bed but the little one for sure would be up on the bed. So they know they get a "sex treat" lol to get out the door. I give each a treat they take it and go to the livingroom to eat it while I shut them out.

  • Our little dog is crate trained, we just tell him to go to bed and he walks into the crate. Sometimes he gives us the stink eye, which is funny :) If we are doing something weird sometimes I put a pillow in front of the crate so he can't see us.

  • We normally shut the door but our oldest cat was under the bed this last time and jumped up and started meowing at us. We were so startled we started laughing and had a hard time finishing. Will definitely check next time!

  • We have to start kicking her out. She used to be cool, but lately when H is standing on the floor and I'm on the bed (giggity) she licks his legs and wags her tail. When were both on the bed she sits on the floor and stares. I think she knows we're mating...
