I posted my birth story last night (DD born on Friday night) and it was pretty traumatic for me, but I was looking forward to going home this morning. Instead, I was greeted this morning with my doctor telling me I needed a blood transfusion because of the blood loss I had during delivery and the surgical repair of my scar. I then spent this whole day battling anxiety attacks and PPD as I am scared for myself and missing my older daughter. The worst part is being confined in here - I'm not good with being out of control. Then, my blood pressure got dangerously high this evening and they now have me on a magnesium drip for 24 hours. Apparently 10% of pre-eclampsia happens after delivery. So I'm stuck in the hospital until at least tomorrow at 8pm. I'm having a really hard time with my anxiety and hormone changes. Please send prayers for me - I just really need some support. Thankfully, DD is thriving and is just amazing.

I don't know if this helps, but you will feel SO much better after a transfusion. I had to have one after my csection and the difference was amazing. I hope you can stay calm and get your blood pressure under control. Thinking of you!

I was on the magnesium drip. It sucked because I was stuck in bed. They also had these compression things on my legs.

It sucks but you will get through it. Just try to relax and get some rest.

Thoughts and prayers for you. Hope that you feel better after the transfusion and have a speedy recovery. Sounds like your doctors have a good plan of action and you are in good hands. Hopefully a little extra rest in the hospital, while no fun, will make you even stronger for when you get to be home with both of your girls.

*hugs* sending positive things your way. I know it sucks to be out of control, just know you are in good hands and try to let yourself it it over to them. Hormones are raging so that does not help.

Do you usually have anxiety issues? if so be sure to tell your doctor so they can keep an eye on those things.,
