We are officially on Swing #3 in our house.... If LO doesn't take to this one, I'm screwwweedd.
Third time's a charm for sure!

  • I'm tired.

Amen. Up all night with baby girl giving her saline drops and suctioning out her nose because she caught a virus from her brother.
    Ugh, I'm so sorry.

  • Maybe this is better for TMI Tuesday, but I'm almost 4 weeks pp and just started randomly bleeding again.  The last few days, a couple times a day I'll bleed a bit - enough to need to wear a pad 24/7.  So annoyed, I thought I was over this.

  • I have had the WORST migraine since, like, 3 AM. I couldn't sleep, and then around 6 AM started getting really dizzy (after taking IBprofen and drinking my weight in water). I had to call MH home from work so he could take care of LO because I wasn't even capable of doing that. Now I just feel like a piece of shit, because he got her to stop crying and nap immediately when he got here, and is now just watching TV.

I've been asked this twice. Both times she was wearing pink. I just looked at them with a blank "are you stupid" look. I almost answered, "Boy but I think he looks much cuter in pink."

Aw:( hope you feel better. And I'm sure LO was just sympathy crying for you and the pain you're in. :) Only way a DH has more baby magic than a mommy

I feel the same way about my "apron" as the nurses so affectionately called it.  I had a little tummy pouch but now its just...bigger...and ugly.

Huge hugs and lots of sympathy. I got migraines throughout my teens, and they came back when I was pregnant. Have you tried a little caffeine? @ELauren88

  • DS still wants to eat every 2 hours on the dot day and night.

Whoever put a timer on the vibration on the bouncer clearly never used it, DS will finally be napping and it turns off and wakes him up every time. He also wakes if you try to reset it.

FIL is getting on my nerves today.

DH doesn't want me to take the kids home to visit my family, because he's mad that I am staying at home now. I haven't seen them in almost a year and I could REALLY use a break.

I had my 6 week checkup today. Super annoyed at having to wait in the waiting room for 30 minutes with a fussy baby for 2 minutes with the doctor so they could tell me what I already know. I'm just glad I didn't take DD with me too!

  • @zora51 Do you have anyone who can help you out so that you can get a few hours of sleep? Taking care of a newborn is hard work, and if you aren't getting any sleep it's going to be that much harder. Don't feel guilty for being upset, but make sure you get some help.
@dani_brewer Thanks for the encouragement! Well, DH helps some in the evenings, but I'm also in grad classes online 3 nights a week, and I'm EBF so when LO wants to eat, I'm the only one who can do it. And so far, he's never gone more than 2 or 2 1/2 hrs between feedings. I don't know how other EBF moms do it, but any suggestions, I'd love! I feel soo close to losing it right now. :(

DH, it's preseason hockey. Tone down the salty language. I don't want little man telling someone "do your fucking job. Your job is to stop the fucking puck. Your a fucking goalie. You get paid to do that shit." And proceed to call numerous players pussies and motherfuckers. It's gonna be a long season. And my kid is gonna have a mouth like a sailor.
Oh yeah! My DH too, but he is cursing out his video games. As a result, I heard my 3 year old call his toy train a bitch earlier. So not happy!

That's one of the games. Today there been a lot of fights in the bruins v Capitals. His team is the Canucks. They are 0-3 so there a lot of yelling.

  • I feel like I still have pregnancy brain. It could be from the lack of sleep, or nutrition. I don't remember anything.

I have been watching all of the seasons of 'Friends' that I have while on leave. I am mad I don't have seasons 1-6. It makes me laugh when I watch scenes that have been turned into gifs on the board.

Guess Torts is not off to a great start as their coach. Speaking of swearing and yelling a lot.....lol.

I could have written this almost word for word. It's really starting to piss me off. The other night DD was crying and he said"well you're not going to stop crying" and just sat there watching tv while she screamed in his arms. And then he gets butt hurt when I can put her to sleep better than he can. What's really getting under my skin though is that he never initiates helping me, so on his days off I spend the whole day asking for his help instead of him reacting to his daughter's needs.

I hear ya, it's the same here. I think (or at least what I tell myself) is at the root of all of it, I just don't think DH thinks he's very good with babies. I think it frustrates him so he just avoids it. I mean, three kids later, you'd think the guy would be confident in his baby skills, but he just doesn't have that "instinct." It's like he thinks the baby is mine, and he's just there to fill in here and there.
All of this being said, if it's any encouragement to you, once they hit around 18mos-2 years, DH is the best Dad in the world. He's honestly the best Dad I've ever known, he's great with our older two. Hopefully the same will be true for yours also, maybe he's not great at the baby stage but will be a rockstar parent from toddler up!

Now I just have to make it through the next 18mos without drop kicking him, ha
