So as I mentioned yesterday I was considering another injectable IUI or straight to IVF. Since a lot of stuff are out of pocket to me, so I am thinking about the cost. I know my ferility drug is covered but I never look at how much it actually costs. I went back to look at the EOB when I did my injectable IUI. My doctors gave me 2x refill, but I ened up didn't need my second one since the first prescription was enough. And, I looked at the EOB, the pharmacy actually refilled my second presrciption and claimed the $. This is over $2,700, they never told me that they have it there. I called them today and inquired if they have my refill, they said yes but it maybe too old and then I said but my insurance company is already paid for it. He said oh, come and pick it up.
I am not going to pick it up since I don't know if I am going to do an IUI or if I do if the dosage will change. I just can't believe they will do that. I don't think it's right. No wonder our healthcare cost is getting higher and higher.
Re: It frustrates me, no wonder our healthcare costs go up!

Pharmacists fill medications and it sits and waits for the patient to pick it up. If its not picked up the product is returned to the shelf and the process is reversed from the insurance so they don't pay if you don't pick it up. This is usually done 7 days after its filled and not picked up ( I'm a pharmacist
As to the person who was confused about your script being ready... Unfortunately many techs in retail pharmacy aren't really up to par.
