I am going to go out on a limb and say that if it is not pronounced Christian, it is pronounced Kristy Ann. And your parents should have thought of the fact that it is not a real name when they named you.
Keep trying.
And Kristy Ann is a real name, just not common.
Doesn't this just prove everyone's point of why we don't recommend the unique spellings? If you can't figure out how to pronounce a name in one, maybe two tries, that should say something. Maybe I'm alone in this opinion, but I doubt it.
Eta: @cashingn2 I just saw your comment. Oh well, reiterating the point I suppose.
Me: 28 DH: 33 TTC since February 2012, married September 2012

I came into this a little late but WHOA! BACK THE CRAZY TRAIN AND LET ME GET ON!! Because I'm spelling my daughters name with 2 L's instead of 1!!
Depends on what her name is as far as using 2 L's instead of just 1.
Edit: Typos
Lol my comment was all sarcasm ha ha but we are naming her Lilly
We named DD1 Lillian and call her Lily. Just an FYI, but NO ONE spells Lily correctly! Its always Lilie Lillie or Lili. I have no idea why.
OP: your name is keer-stan (like beer stan) or keer-stE-an
Try again.
You bored housewives will never get it.
I am still unclear as to why you think the fact that no one can pronounce your name is a GOOD thing.
Listen, Krusty Anus, or however you pronounce that shit, I say name your kid whatever you want. It'll be a great inside joke for her teachers to share a gigglesnort about, plus as a bonus they'll have a heads up as to how obnoxious you are as a person. Win/win for them.
I wish I could always have a fair stupid-warning like this when meeting new people.

To be fair, Lillie is an acceptable, though rare version of the name. It was popular in the late 1800s-early 1900s. And the way we spell our DDs name. It's pretty common among the older generation. She and I both were named after family born in 1905.

DH had a student named Klamydiah. No joke. I feel like this name will go over about the same in the teacher's lounge.

OMG I've got it! It's pronounced Steve. Seriously, Steve, (though I do prefer @ktrue85 's Krusty-Anus) why are you proud of the fact that none of us can pronounce your name? As a teacher, we definitely look at student's names and ask each other why someone would name their child something so difficult to pronounce.
I'm a pretty bored housewife, so I am going to assume it is pronounced just like the name Kristen, but your parents wanted every teacher/person you meet to have a hard time spelling and saying it.
Re: Do you have names picked out?
I'm going with "Cry-stain" very youneek!!
And at first, I thought that dessert was Tiramisu, which cry stain may also want to consider for a name. But she could spell it Tyramisu.
All I get from this is, tiramisu is delicious. I also think of Sleepless in Seattle.
You can try it again
